stopped by atrium for some fika and enjoyed the most delicious cakes!! so good that i'm still thinking about them :,)
this cafe is located in a quieter neighborhood and serves brunch as well as an assortment of pastries on display. there is indoor seating, though a bit limited, but we managed to get a table. service is friendly and all of the food/pastries look very pretty.
i came with my friends and all the cakes looked so good that we each got a different slice and shared!
// carrot cake (49sek) // the carrot cake was really nice. the carrot flavor came through and the cream cheese frosting was also good. the cake is also topped with flowers that makes the slice nice to look at.
// chocolate cake (49sek) // wow, this cake slice was so rich and chocolate-y. it was a dense dark chocolate with a fudgey top. i'm glad i shared this slice with my friends since it was so rich but it was so good. i also appreciated the flakey sea salt on top which added a nice flavor. it also comes with cream which is light and airy.

i loved all three different cake flavors and will definitely...
Read moreIf you love good coffee, pastries and beautiful spaces, invest the time in Atrium. Located to the west of downtown, Atrium is a corner cafe with hanging plants throughout the space. Here's why you should go:
Coffee: They have a full coffee menu. I ordered a latte and it came in a large glass glass with plenty of foam. In case you need it, there's sugar in the condiment area.

Space: It's beautiful! There's an outdoor patio and three areas inside to sit at with plenty of seats and outlets.
Wifi: It's strong, free and doesn't require a password. I went outside to the patio and still had a strong connection. I was able to FaceTime with my family in Washington, D.C. with no...
Used to be a much nicer place to visit, have witnessed its downfall first hand since then as a regular customer.
Some points to consider:
The menu items from the old days are still good, such as the avocado toast and the salmon salad; The new dishes, such as the brioche or the pancake are awful (though it's a matter of taste); The place has a nice decor; But it's often quite dirty (foods resins on tabletops, "fresh" cutlery is dirty, the toilet is pretty terrible, too, as it's smelly and not very well kept); Sometimes the staff appears to have an attitude yet the service is very slow; They've introduced a new ridiculous rule that only allows you to use your laptop on a few designated seats.
Hopefully the management can use this feedback to get back on track with their cafe. From the more recent reviews, it seems I'm not the only one who's noticed these...
