During my visit to the Malmö Museum and Aquarium, I was genuinely impressed by the combination of history, art, and nature. The museum’s exhibits provide a fascinating journey through Malmö’s cultural heritage, with beautifully curated displays that capture the essence of the city’s past and present. The atmosphere is welcoming, and every corner of the museum offers something engaging to discover.
The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the aquarium. It’s a spectacular experience to see such a diverse array of marine life up close. The tanks are exceptionally well-maintained, showcasing everything from colourful tropical fish to unique Scandinavian species. Each display is thoughtfully presented, making it both educational and captivating. It’s a place where you can truly appreciate the beauty and importance of marine conservation.
Overall, the Malmö Museum and Aquarium exceeded my expectations. The seamless blend of history and nature makes it a unique and enriching experience. I left feeling inspired and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Malmö — the aquarium alone is...
Read moreAwesome museum (actually 4 different museums to see under one 40Sek entrance fee). There is the case museum, the science and marine museum, the natural museum and the aquarium.
We initially went to see the castle museum, but it ended up as the least impressive. All of the museums had some English, but it would be great if everything could be translated into English to reach a wider audience.
The science museum was great and very interactive, fun for children as well as adults! There was also a treat photography exhibition inside about the effects of humans on the world and they handed out a big ipad to bring the exhibition to life in 3D as well.
The aquarium had a surprising large amount of fish, frogs and other reptiles to see and was pretty cool. There was awesome information available about the environment too.
The natural museum had a large display of stuffed animals.
An awesome day activity with lots of variety and interaction. There are also free strollers and lockers...
Read moreThis was actually such a cool museum; way cooler than I expected! I visited with my school, and we didn't really have much time to see everything, but I'll sure come back by myself, to see what I missed this time. They had a really interesting exhibition about art from a queer perspective, with all kinds of art mediums, there was paintings, sculptures, videos and many other things. The museum it self where also a really nice building, it was just like, nice to walk around there, and there weren't too many people or too much noise. If I had the time, I really wanted to see their aquarium as well, it's not very often there are fish in museums, but it's so cool. Also I really loved how the museum had art exhibitions for adults and older kids, and then more children friendly exhibitions for younger children. I liked the way the museum was a mix of art and history, and that they could make that work without it getting super confusing. All over, I really enjoyed visiting...
