Awesome museum (actually 4 different museums to see under one 40Sek entrance fee). There is the case museum, the science and marine museum, the natural museum and the aquarium. We initially went to see the castle museum, but it ended up as the least impressive. All of the museums had some English, but it would be great if everything could be translated into English to reach a wider audience. The science museum was great and very interactive, fun for children as well as adults! There was also a treat photography exhibition inside about the effects of humans on the world and they handed out a big ipad to bring the exhibition to life in 3D as well. The aquarium had a surprising large amount of fish, frogs and other reptiles to see and was pretty cool. There was awesome information available about the environment too. The natural museum had a large display of stuffed animals. An awesome day activity with lots of variety and interaction. There are also free strollers and lockers available!!!

The Malmo Castle Museum was a unique experience. Highly recommend. Family friendly. Not easy for people who find walking difficult. You are not allowed to wear backpacks on your back. They do have free lockers to put bags in or you can carry or wear on your front. Ample room for stroller storage as well. The aquarium was small, quaint, cute, very kid friendly; enjoyable for sure. The museum was unlike anything I've seen before. To walk thru and explore the castle while seeing exhibits and learning the history was very unique. From canons to prisons to Kings hall and bedroom chambers and everything in between, totally worth the visit. There is a fashion and art section as well as a gift shop and restaurant. My favorite was the history of the building itself and all that it housed over the centuries as well as the models of the building.

During our visit to the Malmo Art Museum, located within the confines of Malmo Castle, we were immersed in a world of captivating primitive antiques. It was an absolute pleasure to witness the artifacts and relics belonging to old kings and their palaces. Each item was accompanied by detailed explanations and audio histories, providing a wealth of knowledge and insight. The museum offers such a rich and extensive collection that one can easily spend half a day exploring its treasures. The entry fee of SEK 60, which includes access to the castle, is a worthwhile investment considering the value of the experience. We highly recommend visiting the Malmo Art Museum as it offers an incredible journey through history and artistry that is truly worth experiencing.

TODDLER friendly museum! My 1.5y child enjoyed running around pointing at things and climbing stairs. Hours before 2pm are ideal as i found it less crowded. They offer strollers for easier movement, if you have a baby carrier bring it with you it's more handy if your baby gets tired or you need to access the basement/ castle there are only ancient stairs. The museum is big, as it houses different things, aquarium, art, museum and the castle. There are lockers to keep your jackets/small bags. Food is not allowed inside but there is a cafeteria/restaurant by the entrance. Tickets are valid whole day! Accecible by city bus 8,7,10 &3. And walking distance from Central station and nearby City park. (Very clear directions on Maps)

One of the highlights of our trip and a perfect activity for a rainy day. The entrance fee is included in the $40 SEK for the Malmo Museer. Under 19 are free. It is very hands on, well organised and in the style of up to date modern museums. There is a whole fighter jet and you can go inside a U boat. You can see one lot of bunks are beside torpedoes and the forward ones beside the engine. Quite fascinating. You can look into the cockpit of a Viscount and sit in an early air traffic control centre. It is all very child friendly and even has things for little children to do. The upstairs boat area is equally fascinating and hands on. The shop is mostly for children and the staff are very helpful with directions!

A bit of everything in one place. The entrance for the museum actually includes: Natural history museum, Aquarium, Malmo Castle, Art museum (all located inside Malmo castle) and the Technical Museum (another building close by). Make sure you visit all. 1-1.5 hour it's enough for all of them to visit. The aquarium it's a must! I was impressed by the reptile exhibition. The art museum was a bit to artsy for me, I enjoyed the others more. The natural history museum is small, well designed and spacious. A great place to visit with your kids. Both at the Malmo Castle and at the Technical Museum you have lockers to put your small bag and clothes (no extra charges).
