During our visit to Malmö I was looking forward to try the cuisine of the local ex-Yugoslavian community and Burek House had good enough reviews to give it a try. Unfortunately we were disappointed. We had the pljeskavica and the cevapi. Sadly, both were mediocre. They didn't differ from those anyone can buy frozen in the supermarket and grill in their oven. We weren't served any Ajvar, but when we asked for it they gave some to us (or actually it was Lutenica but anyway, it's close enough). The lepine bread was actually good, but that was all as far as the positive aspects of our visit go. I saw other customers ordered large portions of Burek and some kind of soup, but since we didn't try them I don't have an opinion on them. Perhaps they are better? Anyway, I wasn't expecting to get the same quality of food as in Serbia or Bosnia, but I'm sure they can do better than this.

I had seen this place but never came in at all until I was meeting a colleague for lunch and he reccomended this place. The food, the service and dessert is amazing. They are famously known for their variety of burek and home made soups that they serve with fresh breads. Since then, I've been here couple of times or ordered food from. I highly reccomend it if you'd like to taste Balkan cousine.

Very good restaurant, clean and perfect atmosphere. I had the sharska pljeskavica med pommes, and trileqe for dessert. The main course was very delicious, it's beef meat with cheese inside, and the dessert was sweet and light. The waitress was very nice and patient with us, as we didn't know any words from the menu, she explained every thing to us, thanks again.

Last visit was terrible.

  1. The place was almost empty but the wait time was almost an hour.
  2. We ordered chevapchichi with lepinja, but then we had to remind the waitress about the missing lepinja.
  3. The fries side dish we ordered was discusting. It seemed as if the fries have been in oil for a week (burned and orange all the way through).
  4. The salad was minimal.
  5. We also ordered 2 pieces of burek for home (meat and spinach with cheese). When we got home we found cheese and spinach with cheese.

Nothing was done correctly. We can NOT recommend this place.

If we ever go back there it will be after very long time.

Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because previous visit...

I don’t know if it is different according to the staff but one time I was there everything was well good, food and service. The last time (and I mean last) I was there was with friends to take them to real balkan food. The service was horrible!! (At least) we were waiting for about an hour to receive everything blend and cold at the end. There are kiosks with balkan food in malmö and you will even get...
