Backstugan — Restaurant in Solna kommun

Excellent service, but the food is below mediocre, especially considering the prices. I thought the food was too fatty, and too spicy. Unfortunately, like so many other restaurants in Stockholm, my meal did not come with any vegetables, just meat and potatoes. It could be tradition not to serve vegetables, but I really like them, and I think it is essential for a good dish. The location is superb though, and the personnel was delightfully friendly...

The brunch there is really good. I had the avocado sandwich and also a few items from their brunch table like the waffles, and it was delicious! Try the homemade bread, too, so fluffy and good!

The area the restaurant is situated in is Gamla Filmstaden where all the movie lots from the 1920’s when Greta Garbo was in her heyday are, and that makes it so interesting getting to the restaurant, because you can just walk through this picturesque...

Vi hade tyvärr en riktigt dålig upplevelse här. Saltimboccan som serverades var katastrofal – köttet i sig hade kunnat vara bra, men rätten var helt dränkt i en bränd och genomgående översaltad sås som förstörde allt. Risotton, som vi hade höga förväntningar på, var tyvärr inte bättre. Den var så salt att den knappt gick att äta och hade varken balans eller finess.

Som om inte det vore nog fick vi vänta i nästan 1 timme och 50 minuter på att våra fyra varmrätter skulle komma in. Det är alldeles för lång tid, speciellt när det var en lugn kväll. Och även om restaurangen hade haft fullt upp, är det oacceptabelt.

Det enda som gjorde att kvällen inte blev ett fullständigt fiasko var vår servitris. Hon var verkligen fantastisk – vänlig, uppmärksam, professionell och genuint trevlig. Hennes bemötande stack ut på ett väldigt positivt sätt, och hon gjorde sitt bästa för att vi skulle känna oss väl omhändertagna. Tyvärr var det uppenbart att det var någon annan i köket som inte höll samma nivå.

Sammanfattningsvis: Servicen var på topp, men maten och väntetiden drog ner helhetsintrycket totalt. En besvikelse, och tyvärr inget ställe vi kommer...
