Swedish Sushi Kitchen — Restaurant in Stockholm

Yesterday we were invited to dinner with my parents, we ordered food from the restaurant Svenska sushiköket in Midsommarkransen. They have a 40 minute wait time, and I can kind of understand why, the place was pretty full!

We ordered through the Internet, which was kind of complicated, I wanted the red paneng curry with tofu so we wrote in the box that we wanted it vegan. ... But when we at last came to pick up the food it appeared that the curry itself wasn't vegan since it had shrimp paste, so they hadn't made my food. They said they had tried to reach us, but there was no phone action whatsoever(you leave your number with the order). Oh well, just had to wait another ten minutes. I wish they'd written what dishes were vegan friendly or possible to make vegan.

I don't know the name of the food I got but it was really good, veggies with tofu and cashews.

In all, it took a really long time to get the food, and I recommend that you call to order instead of using the website. But the food was tasty and plenty, and if you eat at the restaurant they have a nice outdoor seating, so I just wish they had a vegan menu or something to see what dishes you can...

Not so impressive taste wise, extremely basic sushi that costs more of a premium price. The atmosphere in the place doesnt make you want to stay there either for a longer period of time.

I think their thing is they try to make the plate look bigger by adding a whole bunch of side dishes around the sushi but in reality even the 16 piece set that i got seemed like very little food.

They also have a tea station near the entrance that is missing a lot of basic things and doesnt seem very clean in itself. I dont think i ever seen a tea/coffee station where there isnt any teaspoons available to stir your drink.

Not bad as a takeaway place for just some quick sushi but dont expect much of an experience when you come...

Had sushi here for the first time. The location is great, but the quality of the sushi is by far the worst I have ever had. The rice was tasteless and the texture mushy and machine rolled. The selection of fish was very poor and so was the quality and freshness of the salmon. The rolls were filled with cucumber and cheap surimi gake crab. You also have to pick up your own food just like in a fast food joint. The price was around 130 swedish crowns for a 15 piece meal with miso and a coke (8 of which are cheap rolls. Really terrible...
