Sushi Tai — Restaurant in Uppsala kommun

A modern restaurant with well prepared food to a modest price! I can only speak good about this place and recommend it to anyone looking for good sushi!

The first thing that hits you is the atmosphere. The panorama windows and light vegetation gives it a fresh impression while the minimalistic tables and Edison light bulbs it gives the place a youthful yet sophisticated feel. A place to eat, but also a place to take a deep breath and reflect on life while watching the wall art or the people passing by outside.

The food is towards the fancy side of the scale. They torch some of the fish, puts mayo and rum on other and you get more siders than the typical wasabi and ginger.

The prices are avrage or slightly below average, despite the quality being slightly above. At my usual lunch restaurant in the city core I pay 120 kr for 8 rolls of salmon. Here I payed 100 kr for 9 rolls.

The staff was nice, everything was clean and the sun hits the windows perfectly for getting some of those precious hours of sun in the winter while trying to figure out how everyone around you can lift rice by the grain while you keep dropping your rolls in the soya over and over!

Finally, a sushi restaurant in Uppsala that cooks proper rice!!! 1) proper type of rice and 2) properly cooked. I can't remember how many times sushi places in Uppsala served me elongated rice, all mushy and bad quality.

Tempura was ok,shrimp and spicy mayo were great, but not enough batter on the veggies...Don't like the taste of the pickled cabbages on the side, one is too sweet, the other too salty. Not sure if it's the vinegar that they used that smells bad, or is it the cabbage that went bad...

Uppsala's best sushi restaurant without exaggeration. Very tasty sets that don't try to pad the quantity with just vegetable/avocado rolls like others do.
