I suspect we had some bad luck, but our three course dinner was a bit of a disappointment. The starter was quite good, some artichoke chips with flavored mayo and some other pickled root vegetable. The main course however was quite bad, the buck wheat "risotto" was nothing like risotto, the "dover sole" tasted bitter. And whole dish was drenched in the liquid "lobster foam" which just tasted like a bland fish bullion and left an unpleasant dry feeling in my mouth. The dish on paper looked quite sophisticated, it just seems like the kitchen staff simply were not prepared to actually cook it. Still it makes little sense that the best staff would not be there on a normal Saturday.

The couple sitting behind us were more disappointed with the starter and left after trying the main course and told the very nice waitress how disappointed they were with the quality. The dessert was a fake creme brulě, made from some sort of heavily whipped mixture instead of a custard. Still it tasted quite nice but again it seems the chef was not quite up to par with even that quite basic dish. Great food, midway between fine dining and traditional Swedish food. We went back the next day. Fun drinks (I had the basil/cucumber one) but the Aperol I had the second day was also very well balanced. Trevligt ställe i hjärtat av Varberg. Då vi har hund ringde vi och frågade om det var ok att ta med honom vilket det var om vi valde att sätta oss på innergården och Iom att det var uppehållsväder så var det inga problem att sitta ute. Innergården var väldigt mysig och helt skyddad från vind. Bra meny med många olika alternativ. Vi valde köttbullar. Rätten trevligt presenterad med färskpotatis, rårörda lingon, inlagd gurka och gräddsås. Tyvärr var köttbullarna under vad man kan förvänta sig. De var absolut inte nystekta utan hårda och torra.
