Café Bar Lockentopf — Restaurant in Aarau

I enjoyed a great lunch at this delightful cafe. Booking was easy through their online booking system. First I enjoyed the best coffee I've had so far in Aarau (I had a soya cappuccino) and then a delicious and very nicely presented Thai red curry with Tofu. This cafe also has great outdoor undercover seating, which makes it a reliable choice in this season where Co-Vid restrictions prevent us from sitting inside, and rain can potentially spoil our outdoor plans. Expecting this to be a café and bar, the exquisite food was a wonderful surprise. I made several return trips after such a great experience to continue to explore the menu. Food and drinks are delicious and well presented, the atmosphere is inviting and relaxed. The service is stupendous, even though I speak no German, they were welcoming and assisted with the menu. Can't recommend this...

Samstagmorgen bei schönem Wetter - wir besuchten das erste Mal den Lockentopf. Die Bestellung konnten wir in akzeptabler Zeit aufgeben werden, danach kam aber das lange Warten. Wir warten etwa 15 Minuten auf unsere Getränke und 45 Minuten auf das Essen und 30 Minuten zum Bezahlen. Ich bestellte einen 0.5 Liter Eistee, erhielt aber einen 0.3 Liter - als ich die Servicepersonal darauf ansprach meinte sie ganz überzeugt: das ist 0.5 Liter, und das obwohl auf dem Glas selbst 0.3 Liter steht und man wohl diese "IKEA"-Gläser kennt.... Leider war auch das Essen nicht das, was wir uns genau bestellt hatten. Wir beobachteten während unserem Aufenthalt auch viele Gäste die wieder davonliefen, weil die Bestellung einfach nicht klappte oder andere Gäste, die nicht das erhielten, was bestellt oder es eben gar nicht erhielten.... der Lockentopf muss wohl sein Konzept / Mitarbeiter etc....
