La Pointe is probably the best located hotel in the small village of Zinal. Very handy for the gondola to the ski area and very easy reach of the small choice of shops, bars and restaurants. The room was on the small side but well equipped and comfortable. Probably the best pillows in my 40 years plus of Alpine experience! The hotel, as a whole, has been tastefully modernised and the friendly staff add to the atmosphere. The boot room is good but there was not much hot air in the boot drying system! Breakfast was adequate but not spectacular and we dined twice in the evening. Not a particularly extensive menu with some odd choices - fish and fruit was just weird! Read moreWe stayed for one night while hiking the Haute Route and enjoyed the hotel. Our room was modern, clean, comfortable and quiet. The hotel owners are caring people with the husband helping tighten the screws on my trekking poles so that they would not collapse while hiking. They provided instructions on how to check into our room. Since they were out the evening we arrived, we did not get to eat dinner at their restaurant; however, we had a good meal right next door.
