Four of us ate at La Ferme this evening, and we felt that the food was expensive (£25 for a very average rosti) The service wasn't great either, and despite having booked a table, on arrival it was clear that we had been forgotten and our table was set up in a rush. Our main course was cleared and we waited over one hour for someone to ask if we wanted dessert or drinks, but the staff were so preoccupied chatting to another group (in red jackets) that we were forgotten .... eventually we gave up and left.
It's such a shame that the majority of restaurants in Zinal now appear to be owned by the same organisation, and that this has impacted on competitiveness, pricing and service.

The fondue, which they said was for 2 persons, was really so small that it was for 1 person. Other orders were either wrong or not properly done. After very politely trying to talk to the manager we realise it was useless and she was very disrespectful and kept putting the blame on the customer. Nothing like customer centric it’s here! Staff seemed exhausted , very professional but out of it. 2 waiters to serve a full restaurant I sympathise with the poor guys . Chairs are beautiful but not conducive to sit for dining serving ware is so fancy it doesn’t fit on the table and cutlery missing. Desert undercooked , Salads were uneventful, Soup excellent fries amazing but overall compared to the standard in Zinal it scores below average .
