Its So friendly so warm SO ITALIAN !!! ( A lovely glorious country with music .good food and delicious gelati !!) All wrapped up in this friendly restaurant Da Giacomelli The large bowl of soup is Always so delicious And Fatima ,the waitress is efficient and friendly And so is the gentleman who also serves Congratulations to the owner who always comes round to greet the many guests . You are so kind , and we feel happy to see you there each time we come to your charming restaurant .We highly recommend it to all our friends and will celebrate my birthday there in December in one of your many rooms in the restuarant . We visited today Saturday for the first time the restaurant with our 2 boys (5 and 3 years old) and we are really excited. We arrived there early around 16:15 thinking that it would be open all day long but it was locked and we got disappointed for a moment but after a few seconds one of the owners (I think) opened the door and told us that they normally open later but as an exception he welcomed us. He and another sir were really kind and treated our children really well. The food was super tasty (pizza, risotto and spaghetti) and would visit the place again and again in the future. Wer schon immer wissen wollte, wie es sich anfühlt, 80 Jahre in der Zeit zurückzureisen – allerdings nicht in ein charmant nostalgisches Italien, sondern eher in eine verstaubte Bahnhofskneipe kurz vor Betriebsschluss – ist hier genau richtig.

Schon beim Eintreten wurden wir von einer illustren Stammkundschaft empfangen, die im Eingangsbereich Dosenbier trinkt und lautstark diskutiert – Kneipenfeeling inklusive. Die Einrichtung wirkt, als wäre sie seit der Nachkriegszeit unverändert geblieben, und genau so riecht es auch.

Wir waren im Vorfeld schon etwas skeptisch, da die Google-Bilder alles andere als appetitanregend aussahen – lieblos angerichtete Teller, Fleisch, das offenbar einen zweiten Tod gestorben ist, und Suppen, die den Eindruck machen, als wären sie schon einmal gegessen worden. Dachten aber: «Geben wir dem Ganzen eine Chance.» Fehler.

Das Cola kam tiefgefroren auf den Tisch – buchstäblich eine Flasche Eis. Einschenken unmöglich. Auf unsere höfliche Bitte um Ersatz bekamen wir … eine zweite gefrorene Cola. Irgendwo zwischen Slapstick und Verzweiflung. Vom Wirt folgte lediglich der Hinweis, das sei «halt so passiert». Der Eistee – laut Kellnerin ehrlich aus Instantpulver angerührt – schmeckte entsprechend: wie Wasser mit einem Hauch von Enttäuschung.

Bevor wir überhaupt zum Essen kamen, haben wir beschlossen, lieber zu gehen – rein aus Selbstschutz. Als wir dies der Kellnerin mitteilten, wurden wir auf Italienisch beschimpft und regelrecht hinausgeworfen. Das einzige Argument, das man uns noch hinterherrief: «Immerhin sind wir günstig!» – was sich bei der Rechnung über CHF 37.– für zwei kleine Biere und zwei halbe Liter Wasser dann doch eher relativiert.

Fazit: Eine kulinarische Zeitreise in die Vergangenheit – aber bitte nur für Hartgesottene mit starkem Magen und Sinn für unfreiwillige...
