Initially we liked this place because it has an authentic pub atmosphere, so we came back a few times. However the first disappointment came when we order food. The portions are small compared to the prices and the quality nothing to write home about. The Mediterranean Platter is just tiny quantities of few bits, which are not enough not even for starter. The Club Sandwich advertises "fresh chicken filling" in the menu, which tricked us into expecting some chicken; all we got was some cream with tiny bits of what we believe was the chicken. The worst though was last time, when we sat at a free table, had drinks watching the Rugby, and later on ordered food, which was served to our table. Five minutes after they served our food, one of the staff asked us to leave our table because it was reserved!!! I could not believe it... (1) There was no "reserved" sign on the table. (2) The staff kept going round and picking our empty glasses but no one said to us that the table was reserved (3) They served our food at that very table, but they did not tell us it is reserved. Only 5 minutes later they thought of telling us that we will have to leave our table, while we were in middle of our meal. Totally unacceptable. If a table is reserved, it has to have a "reserved" sign on it. This is very low level of service, I'm sorry Mr Pickwick, but we are not coming back...
Read moreI sometimes visit this pub to enjoy a beer with friends. It is very enjoyable to go and meet up there. In this review I'd like to summarize my experiences. At first the TL;DR: delicious food wide variety of drinks and food long wait times for food noisy at times
Food: The selection of food is very wide and is enjoyable. I can recommend the nachos. They come with plenty of sauce and are delicious to share.
Service: The drinks are ordered at the bar and are prepared swiftly. The service is impeccable there. However, we had a long wait for our food which may be due to a high amount of orders, we didn't receive any information on the status of the food. Therefore that's the reason for the 4-Star review.
Atmosphere: The pub is decorated beautifully. It feels very authentic and has a warm atmosphere. It can get very noisy so at points it's difficult to hear the person...
Read moreOne of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a pub. The staff – especially Dominic – was incredibly rude, arrogant, and completely unprofessional. We came to play darts and simply asked for darts, only to be met with a snide and dismissive remark. When the dart machine didn’t work, we were told it wasn’t their problem and that we should just translate the English instructions ourselves if we don’t understand them – seriously? Instead of helping, Dominic later taped a note to the machine saying they’re not responsible. Start to finish, the attitude was disrespectful and hostile. Sarcastic comments, zero willingness to help, and chatting behind the bar about customers with his colleague like it’s a joke. Absolutely unacceptable behavior for anyone working in hospitality. Avoid this place if you expect even the most basic...
