Hôtel Restaurant Kutchi — Restaurant in Bellevue

This restaurant’s website says that they open at 6:30 pm, but when I arrived at 6:30 pm (early dinner due to an early flight the next day), the proprietor told me that they didn’t open until 7:00 pm. That’s not the problem. He also told me that they might be fully reserved for the night, BUT he refused to check his reservations to tell me if I could be seated at 7:00 pm if I waited. He told me I would have to wait for 30 minutes only for them to check THEN if I could even be seated. This wasn’t a language issue; we understood each other perfectly. This is horrible service because it would have taken him less than a minute to check his reservations to let me know right away if I should even bother waiting. And all this despite the fact that the website says they open at 6:30 pm.

This reflects poorly on the entire Bellevue neighborhood because there aren’t that many places to eat there. I am going to inform my Airbnb host not to recommend this place...

I stayed here in April 2015 for three nights and really liked it. It has 6 rooms which are not very large, but spacious and clean and has free wifi. The hotel is located in a small quiet village-part of Geneva, near the Lake. It is a 5 min walk to the train station from where regularly trains to Geneva depart (central station in Geneva only 10 min, UN headquarters 5). ||I did not mind there was no breakfast - there is a tearoom which serves breakfast from 8:00 just across the hotel. The hotel always has snacks available, as well as tea and coffee.||What I liked best was the very friendly and helpful staff, they are fluent in both French and English.
