Le Loti Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Bellevue

This evening we had dinner at the Loti with a couple of our best friend. We know the place, and we normally dine here 4-5 times per year. This evening we were celebrating my wife’s birthday. The place is really nice and the outside dining area is wonderful with a fantastic view of the lake and the Mont Blanc! The food was very good, the wine list and the help of the sommeiller Gonzalo excellent, but the level of service and, more important, the supervision of the table service, not acceptable for the level (and price) of the establishment. It is a pity that management does not recognize the importance of the excellence of service in a restaurant where a 1000 franc price for a dinner for 4 is the norm! I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant Le Loti inside the Hotel La Réserve in Geneva. First, the hotel has a very warm vibe with luxury jungle/safari lodge theme inside. The tables are sufficiently spaced for pleasant conversations around dinner. Service was nice but a little bit slow (we had to repeat a few times same orders and were waiting 10’ for water to be proposed/served). Food was delicious. Difficile de parler du Loti comme d’un simple restaurant, tant l’expérience dépasse le cadre habituel. J’y vais régulièrement, que ce soit pour un rendez-vous d’affaires, un repas en famille ou même une fête organisée sur place, et à chaque fois, le plaisir est intact.

Le cadre est chaleureux, cosy, pensé pour qu’on se sente immédiatement bien. La terrasse, l’ambiance, la décoration… tout respire l’élégance sans jamais être guindé.

Le service est, pour moi, tout simplement exceptionnel. Le personnel se souvient de nos préférences — la table que l’on aime, nos petites habitudes, même nos envies particulières — et s’adapte toujours avec une bienveillance rare. On est littéralement pris en charge avec une attention qui transforme chaque repas en moment spécial.

Côté assiette, j’ai eu le bonheur de goûter à peu près toute la carte au fil des saisons, et je peux dire sans hésiter que la qualité est constante. Les plats sont impeccablement exécutés, équilibrés et savoureux, toujours avec cette touche de raffinement qui marque les grandes tables.

Mention spéciale pour le bar : entre les cocktails personnalisés, les chocolats chauds “sur mesure” (pour satisfaire nos goûts parfois un peu tordus) et les découvertes proposées par le sommelier, on est systématiquement surpris — et toujours agréablement.

Alors oui, ce n’est pas une adresse bon marché, mais au vu du service, de la qualité et du soin apporté à chaque détail, le prix est parfaitement justifié.
