We decided to check out this new dining option nearby.
Firstly the wait staff can mostly speak French, even if its obvious you can't understand them and ask if its possible to speak to someone who can speak German.
It took over 20 mins for our drinks - which might have included a run to the liquor store (who knows) - the restaurant was less than 10% full. The portions are very small. The dumplings for 18.50 chf are 4 small dumplings - made by Madame Dim Sum in Zurich (we know their products well). The eggplant was around 12.50 chf for 5 small pieces of eggplant.
No one asked us if our food was ok - its quite presumptuous to assume your food is 100% every single time. When it was obvious we were not ordering any meat options - the waiter said ' oh how disappointing you don't eat meat' - erm!!!
Small things matter like courtesy etc - I have received better service from the Chinese restaurant around the corner.

Great addition in Biel! The new Bluma restaurant decided to part with the traditional starter-main-dessert type menu and to offer a food concept based on specialties from around the world.
It was a great surprise to discover that the dish selection included some not so well known specialties. Special mention to the red curry dish.

Ich feierte letztens meinen 50. Geburtstag und war auf der Suche nach einer schönen Location und einem guten Essen. Im vorbeilaufen habe ich das neue Bluma Restaurant entdeckt, wessen Ambiente es mir sofort angetan hat. Auf meine Anfrage hin, haben sie sich gleich in Verbindung gesetzt mit mir, um Details zu besprechen. Vor Ort ging es dann mit dem Küchenchef persönlich an eine passende Menüauswahl mit sechs Gängen. Der Küchenchef zeigte grosse Professionalität und erfüllte mir jeden Wunsch. Mit diesem Satz möchte ich mich nochmals persönlich an Ihn bedanken, denn am gesagten Abend hat das Essen welches uns Serviert wurde meine Erwartungen mehr als übertroffen. Der Aufbau des Menüs war wundervoll und man sieht, das dahinter ein grosses Talent steckt; Danke!
Wir hatten ein Private-Dining Room zur Verfügung gestellt, in dem wir Privat für uns, mit wunderschöner Deko und Musik meinen Geburtstag feiern konnten. Der Service war ebenfalls wunderbar. Die Getränke und das Essen wurde stets pünktlich Serviert, und wir wurden auch unterhalten.
Insgesamt hat das Bluma Restaurant auf jeder Ebene für mich gepunktet und ich freue mich, bald wieder bei Ihnen einen schönen Abend zu verbringen.
