Casablanca — Restaurant in Birsfelden

No spices on the table, the tomatoes sup was a little bitter, not warm enough, the staff took so long in bringing only a glass Cola zero, the profesionalism from the owner let so much to wish, after she almost bumped into my boyfriend and done a scan and laughs with her friends two tables ahead from ours and then tried to come to disturb us in our table. Not to mention, she forced me to pay with card 20CHF when my bill was only 13 something Swiss francs and they don't inform you of this at the beginning!!!!!!!... but to be honest, I've paid it only to leave this awful place with this so annoying experience. I don't recommend this place at all. Before leaving I even look back, as I could also hear the owner saying insults in Italian. This place was for me an ABSOLUTE DISAPPOINTMENT. I don't...

Myself and 3 colleagues dropped in to have a beer, sat outside on the side of the street...which I love doing because we can watch the world go by. We spotted the menus which have a good range of choices, especially with the varieties of pizza available.

The welcome and the service were great, the owners, (+ their very handsome son!) ...and even the gorgeous family dog...all made our experience even nicer.

Pizzas and beer were great, location was fine and the price was as expected for Switzerland.

I would definitely recommend this...

This is my first week as Italian tourist in the (VERY) expensive Basel. I can say that Casablanca’s stuff was welcoming and warm, the pizza Margherita I ate it was huge and tasty, my mum ate a Caprese Salad and it was also very tasty. The prices are ‘not so bad’ compared all the other restaurants (expensive menus and small portions). The restaurant itself it’s not the prettiest but all the rest is good! We will definitely go back...
