Underwhelming french style bistro. The menu choices are rather small (which is good in this case as it's freshly made) and interesting. My starter was a crab & scallop ravioli which tasted of warm ocean with coconut milk. The main course was a stake which had apparently "aged on the bone" but nothing of this could be tasted as it had way too many tendons and one part of it was undercooked. The dessert was a "café gourmand" which was good except for what they called to be a panna cotta. Unfortunately it was extremely hot during our stay there although it was about 10°C outside. The chairs are also very uncomfortable and you feel overall very cramped, especially being taller. The staff on the other hand were very friendly! As this is a rather expensive place, I would recommend to try elsewhere as you might get a better meal in more comfort at...

Possibly the best restaurant, excluding the Michelin star in the area, to be found “dans le Carouge”.

The menu is very dynamic, meaning chances are you’ll find a very diverse set of options each time you go (ok, possibly not within the same week 😇).

There is nothing I’ve tried that has let me down, from drinks to mains, ending up with desserts never to be missed.

The location is hard to match, especially during summer if you get an outdoors table. The good weather and the people passing by around you are a free of charge extra for all people watchers out there. However: mind kids playing with balls.

Now we come to the price: it’s Geneva, that tells the whole story :)

As far as the service is concerned, I’ve had mixed experiences, let’s say 30% rude/cold, 70% good/friendly.

Oh, a reservation is not always necessary but highly...

I used to go there as a teen when it was a dive bar. Cafe du Marche is now very posh and the terrasse are so nice. We ate in the courtyard and it was lovely. I did not like the menu, though. Entrees were all meat proteins with barely cooked rice and a cauliflower puree covered with 2-3 sticks of veggies. Same accompagnement for all the dishes which is not very fancy given that our group ordered 2 types of fish and 2 types of meat. It was all missing flavor, kick and novelty. Wine and...
