I stumbled upon this restaurant five years ago by chance, and since then, it’s become a must-visit every time I’m nearby. The food is absolutely delicious, the selection of dishes is extensive, and the menu changes daily, featuring Swiss traditional fare (the house specialities being the beef tartare and the roast chicken), all expertly prepared. There are always vegetarian options and pasta dishes available, making it perfect for families, business meetings, or even a romantic evening out. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to explain the menu and offer recommendations in both Italian and English. We arrived at 1:58pm, restaurant was open. States it closes at 2:30pm. We were told kitchen closes at 2pm, we had looked at the menu and knew what we were ordering, but turned away regardless. Apologies were given, but a nonsense excuse when we are there before 2pm, is infuriating. Very disappointed as we walked specifically to this restaurant before our train journey with a lot of luggage in tow. Caratterizzato da un’atmosfera accogliente e al contempo elegante, con arredi chic e centritavola con fiori sempre freschi, il ristorante Giardinetto è collocato al centro di Chiasso, facilmente raggiungibile anche a piedi dalla stazione ferroviaria. Il personale è gentile e disponibile, attento al cliente e alla sue esigenze. Sono rimasta colpita dal fatto che si ricordassero i piatti preferiti di ciascun commensale! Il menù è molto ampio, adatto a tutti i gusti e varia ogni giorno, spaziando tra diversi piatti della tradizione svizzera e italiana. Dagli spaghetti pomodoro e basilico all’ insalata di puntarelle, dalla tartare di manzo ai gamberi crudi, è letteralmente impossibile trovare un piatto che non sia più che delizioso! Per la sua varietà il menù è adatto ad ogni palato, e sarebbe possible mangiare qui ogni giorno della settimana senza mai dover prendere lo stesso piatto due volte.
