My wife booked this hotel as overnight stay during our family trip to Italy. Choice was made based on photos showing pool. This was essential for our kids. ||First off all this is located quiet far away from the highway. You need to drive through very tiny streets to get there. At the location there was not enough parking space. When we saw the room (for 4 people) this was really tiny compared to the number of beds there were. There is almost no room at all to move between the beds. ||Also we needed to share bathroom and toilet with 5 other rooms. Looking at the price we paid for this this is really overpriced and not worth it. You can get better value for money. Also when we checked out it seemed that we needed to pay some additional taxes. When I wanted to pay with my credit card the hostess did really insist to pay this cash. ||There is no pool also despite the photo's we saw advertised. ||||Its clear for me this is really trying to get every penny out of people that are staying there. Friendlyness is only in function to get as much money as possible.||I recommend to avoid this. ||||This is a hotel from the middle ages for a premium price. This is not what you expect today...

There is a bus that runs approximately hourly from Lugano and stops by the American School as well as very near this B&B. Luckily, one can walk to Montagnola and on to the American school through woods and residential streets (The Hermann Hesse trail), avoiding the narrow, steep hairpin turns of the road, but it would be challenging at night or with other than walking shoes. The breakfast was varied (smorgasbord-type). We had a small room that was overcrowded with furniture but had no hangars or wardrobe for hanging clothes. We chose a room on the first (not ground) floor to avoid carrying luggage up more stairs. Because our only window overlooked a loggia that people walked along, a tall screen had been erected outside which blocked their view into our room, but also our view out. Many families with small children were staying while we were there, with the...
