We recently had the pleasure of visiting this family-run restaurant tucked away in the mountains of the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland – and it was truly a hidden gem.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. The atmosphere was relaxed and authentic, with stunning views and a cosy charm that made us feel instantly at home. The food was fresh, full of flavour, and clearly made with love. Every dish we tried was a celebration of local ingredients and traditional recipes, prepared with care and passion. Although the food is very expensive, it is scanty and not good. The ribs, which were only three, were dry. The taleggio risotto was overcooked and tasteless. The waiters are very distracted. They often forgot to bring us what we asked for. I waited 40 minutes for my risotto only to find it had been forgotten. We had lunch with three other tables. Ein netter Ort mit schönem Ambiente, einfach gehalten und ohne viel Schnickschnack – genau das Richtige, wenn man es eher ruhig und unkompliziert mag. Es hätte insgesamt etwas gemütlicher sein dürfen, aber die Atmosphäre war trotzdem angenehm. Die Kellner waren freundlich und aufmerksam, was definitiv positiv aufgefallen ist. Der Service war insgesamt in Ordnung. Beim Essen war alles solide, aber kein besonderes Highlight. Die Karte ist überschaubar, was nicht schlecht sein muss, aber geschmacklich wäre da noch Luft nach oben.
