A real gem of a neighbourhood restaurant in Lugano. Having spent a few nights eating around the lakefront, we came across Dal Gallo. A relaxed and friendly restaurant about 15mins away from the pedestrian district. The pastas were delicious (we had the risotto with porcini & saffron and Penne with pancetta in vodka tomato sauce). Excellent experience! Food: super tasty and the amount of it is also enormous. We ordered a grill plate for 4 people and it was really a lot. Staff: Great hospitality from the boss, super friendly. I cannot handle cheese so they even seperate the dish for me. They have really cosy, family like atmosphere. Dog friendly ;) For sitting, they have a little outside area when it's warm Totally recommend for a good dinner...
