DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE VEGETARIAN OR HAVE A FOOD ALLERGY

We ordered a take-away here by phone. One of our party has a gluten allergy so we made sure to specifically ask if the dishes we ordered were gluten-free. The reaction on the phone was rushed and unsympathetic. Based on the phone call we did not have faith in the fact that the manager had properly understood (even though we had ordered in fluent French), but we went to pick-up the order anyway. As we received the food, we wanted to double check that he had made sure that it was gluten-free, as this is a serious allergy that can make you very sick. We were met with obnoxious behaviour and he seemed to not care at all about special needs. The manager got upset and started talking over us. All we wanted to know was if the sauce used in the stir-fry did or did not contain gluten. So he took our food order back and stormed off into the kitchen saying that "we were making his life complicated". When he had cooled off, he came back, gave us our food and said: "It's just water and vegetables." Once we got home we found out that indeed there was no sauce and they had given us boiled vegetables and rice... Not really a Thai meal at all, yet he had no problem charging us 24 Swiss Francs. The second thing that we had ordered was a tofu saté, he had given us chicken saté instead. Useless to a vegetarian. We called and told him this in a friendly manner. He informed us that in his mind saté is always with chicken. When we reminded him that everything we ordered was vegetarian and that the tofu saté dish was in fact on their menu, he said "Désolé." The one good thing was that he offered to switch the chicken saté to a tofu saté, other than that this order was a complete fiasco and we will not be ordering...

The worst service we had during our stay at Crans Montana in a week. We booked the table over phone for dinner, during the phone they told us the restaurant open 6pm , but kitchen open 6:30pm. I said that we are fine, if we are early we can wait. We arrived at 6:15, and when enter, the man ( seems like the manager ) looked at us weird and very unfriendly saying we were too early. No welcome , no smile, even not saying bonsoir after we said bonsoir to him twice.

And then they lost our reservation. He seems very unwillingly pointed us to the table. After we sat down, he kept speaking to the other waitress in French , complaining we don’t understand him and we are too early ? ( in front of the customer??) I have to spoke to him again , saying if you don’t want your customer to come early , you should correct your website , because it says clearly on your website you open at 6pm .

Overall the food was ok, but the service is...

LE TAÏ ist ein gutes Modernes Thai Restaurant, mit freundlicher Bedienung und sehr schmackhaften Gerichten. Diese Restaurant kann ich sehr empfehlen. 42 von Möglichen 48 Punkte.

LE TAÏ is a good modern Thai restaurant, with friendly service and very tasty dishes. I can highly recommend this restaurant. 42 out of possible 48 points.
