Molino — Restaurant in Lens

I recently dined at Molino with a group of friends, and unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired.

Upon arrival, we were seated at three large tables and opted for the set menu priced at 49 CHF per person, excluding drinks. We asked for tap water and we were served small jars, together with sparkling water, which we hadn't ordered, incurred an extra charge of 4 CHF per jar.

When it came time to settle the bill, the staff insisted on combining the water charges for all three tables without being able to tell us how many bottles each table had consumed, making it impossible for us to split the cost accordingly. Despite our attempts to clarify the situation, one of the waiters, DOMENICO, started to insult us in Italian, assuming we couldn't understand. This unprofessional conduct and aggressive behaviour was shocking and entirely unacceptable.

The manager was present during the incident but failed to address Domenico's inappropriate behavior (inappropriate and rude during the whole service). Hopefully customers are treated with more respect...

Joaquim, our waiter, was outstanding. Friendly, full of humour, attentive and helpful. Sadly I feel the kitchen let us down tonight. The salad was full of water which diluted the sauce and needed to be reseasoned, and something about the spicy salami on the pizza wasn’t quite right. We were part of a group so didn’t want to make a fuss. Still I can state that at other times, the food was great. Je n'y retournerai plus jamais. Si je peux donner un conseil franchement passez votre chemin. On est allé manger au Molino un dimanche. (3 adultes et 1 enfants) Depuis le moment où on nous a assis à la table jusqu'au moment où nous avions finis de manger il a fallu plus de 2 heures pour le service. Nous avions tous pris des pâtes. Heureusement que nous n'avions pas pris les cafés parce que je pense qu'il aurait fallu rajouter une heure supplémentaire. Il n'y a aucune organisation dans ce restaurant et le serveur peut passer 15x à côté de toi sans même essayer de s'intéresser à toi. J'ai précisé lors de la commande que j'étais allergique au gluten et aux produits laitiers et j'ai demandé spécifiquement si la sauce bolognese contenait du gluten et le serveur m'a assuré qu'il n'y avait pas de gluten dans la sauce. Ok j'ai fait confiance mais je l'ai vite regretté. J'ai été tout de suite malade et il m'a fallu plusieurs jours pour m'en remettre. C'est une honte.... Je pense que les serveurs ne sont même pas formés aux allergies alimentaires. En plus la bolognese était vraiment pas bonne. Il n'y avait pas d'épices et j'arrivais pas à voir la viande tellement il y en avait peu. La pire bolognese que je n'ai jamais mangé et en plus j'étais malade. Le serveur nous a proposé une carafe d'eau plate sans bien évidemment préciser qu'il s'agissait d'une toute petite carafe qui allait coûter CHF 4.00.
