The Pavilion — Restaurant in Dübendorf

The location of the Pavillon is very cosy and they have a beautiful garden surrounding the restaurant. Staff is attentive and quick. The menu offers Asian food (Japanese, Thai, Korean,…). We had the spring rolls, Papaya salad, Dumplings, the salmon with the broccoli and the Teriyaki smashed beef burger. The food was okay … the dumplings were really small and a bit dense, the Papaya salad was lacking chilies. The salmon was very good but as a side a went for the broccoli (around 7 CHF) and I got 3 small Brokkoli stalks, so every stalk costs around 2 CHF! (My husband got a whole bowl of fries for 3.90 CHF) this was the point where I felt really disappointed! Are vegetables really so precious? I would really recommend to overthink the portion size...

But let me repeat this: order the teriyaki smashed beef burger. why I hear you ask? It’s simply that good - super soft bun with sesame seeds (feels like a gigantic dumpling), crispy pulled beaf and a balanced sauce with veggies that makes it all come together.
