Good food, nice atmosphere. They run a restaurant where you have to go order your food, carry your own food and drinks to your table and take care of your own dishes after you eat, like some fast food place. There are no waiters, but the stuff is very friendly. However, the food is very expensive, considering that the "restaurant" only really offers a fast food experience, and you are actually doing their job carrying the food and drinks and dispensing your dishes after you eat. This was a strange "restaurant", but over all it did the job.. It did bother me a little that when you have to pay in advance for the food and drinks,...
🇬🇧More or less by chance, we ended up at @leportdefribourg for lunch yesterday. Hidden behind a former factory hall, we didn't know at first whether this was now an artist's studio and whether you were really allowed to go through there. But then we took the plunge and were rewarded. If there's a restaurant in Fribourg where Pippi Longstocking would have felt right at home, it's here. This is where art meets garden oasis, suit meets hippie, artist meets worker, free spirit meets bünzli, playing children meet peace seekers and everyone sits comfortably and is allowed to be who they are and everyone feels at ease. The atmosphere is unique and the creative restaurant also attracts with very tasty food with a small menu and changing daily menus and very fair prices. Courses and events are also held here and the whole place is open from May to September. So if you're in...
Read moreWe asked with our booking whether they would have a vegan option, and were told this was possible, but on arrival we were told that there was only a vegetarian burger which could not be made vegan. The staff had to have a long discussion with the chef before they were finally able to create something.
I had the same difficulty the last time I was there. I strongly encourage the owners to add a vegan option to the menu in order to include more customers as well as for sustainability reasons. Until then I cannot recommend this you anyone wanting to eat...
