Café du Commerce — Restaurant in Grandson

We returned to Grandson after 30 years - a small charming village right on Lake Neuchatel where our grandparents used to live. We stopped in Café Du Commerce for lunch and were very impressed at what they had done to this charming space. It is very well done, warm, inviting, and very up-to-date. My wife had the fresh perch from the lake and it was fantastic. I had the spaghetti with tomato and basil, and I was blown away. Absolutely amazing. Very fresh ingredients, simple, but bursting with flavor. I highly recommend stopping here, even if it's a bit out of your way. After renovation the place is more cosy and pleasant to spend time in.

What didn't change is that the staff is nice and helpful while food is very good. The chef proves that even without gluten and lactose, you can cook great meals.

Pour commencer les points + la carte est variée, il y a du choix et souvent des propositions originales. le rapport qualité/ prix est excellent. la présentation des assiettes est soignée et bien sûr des propositions sans lactose et gluten.

Les points négatif : le service d'une lenteur...15 minutes pour recevoir la carte des menus c'est trop long. entrée oublié lors de ma première visite 2 ème visite, commandes oubliées, résultat 1:30 d'attente pour 2 burger !! Alors qu'il n'y avait que 4 tables dans la partie café. Mon entrée m'a été offerte comme compensation mais au retour chez moi je constate que les burger ont été facturé au prix normal alors que le jeudi ils sont normalement à 16.- Les burger étaient le Green Pepper et le Classic. J'en ai fait la remarque dans la rubrique contact du site internet.... j'attends toujours une réponse... Bref ne pas oublier que le SERVICE c'est la base dans un restaurant. Pour moi il n'y aura pas de 3ème...
