Auberge d'Hauterive — Restaurant in Hauterive (NE)

Little did we know what was waiting for us when we announced we wanted a table for two to have lunch in this upscale and recently opened restaurant located in a building from the early 16 hundreds on the heights of Hauterive in the eastern outskirts of Neuchâtel the first Friday of 2025. They serve Italian fusion style food, that is perfectly executed and beautifully presented. Astonishingly, you can order pizze here but these are not of the ordinary pizzeria style variant, rather the contrary, something we will have to find out in a not so distant future. Perfect cosy Italian-style restaurant in Hautrive. A limited but perfectly composed menu with something for everyone. Ingredients were well chosen and combined. And the flavours of the various dishes were excellent. The service was very friendly and even though we didn't speak French very well, the staff were very helpful and tried to communicate with us in a mixture of English and French to put us at ease. Ci sono stato due volte, una volta al ristorante "Attimi" e una volta alla pizzeria "Grano Arso". Entrambe le location tolgono il fiato : elengantissime, personale professionale e cordialissimo, atmosfera perfetta, insomma...e la cosa che ho davvero apprezzato molto è la calma e la distanza tra i tavoli (cosa sempre piu' rara nei ristoranti piu' moderni). Al ristorante abbiamo preso il menu' "3 attimi" (ragazzi, 89.- non sono niente per una cucina di questo livello!), tutto esageratamente ottimo. Sembra di viaggiare in Italia stando comodamente seduti ad Hauterive : delle chicche che raramente si riescono a trovare in zona. La selezione dei vini : impeccabile, ho ritrovato cantine che mai avrei pensato di rivedere in Svizzera. La pizzeria : un'idea davvero alternativa dato il mercato ormai saturo della pizza a Neuchatel e dintorni, è l'utilizzo del grano arso per l'impasto, rustico e aromatico, caratterizzato da un sapore intenso, leggermente affumicato e tostato. Da provare assolutamente! Allego alla recensione una foto per far capire quanto sia sottile (credo 1mm).
