We had dinner with my friends in this restaurant some weeks ago. The visit left us quite unsatisfied, and I feel it's important to share my experience honestly. Read this review if you want to avoid the same harsh experience!

While the ambiance and service were okay, I cannot overlook the significant issue we encountered after dining here. Unfortunately, a few hours after my meal, we experienced severe digestive discomfort, and it was evident that the food was the reason, since three of us had the same issue for consecutive 3 days. This was quite disappointing and uncomfortable, to say the least.

Moreover, after contacting the restaurant with an official letter stating this issue, no answer was received from their side. Honestly, it was the worst dining experience in my life. The restaurant where we spent almost 1000 CHF should have food of better quality than this. This is absolutely unacceptable and looks like a joke. We will make sure to inform our immediate circles, including family, friends, colleagues, and social networks about our suffering and be sure that none of them in the future visit this place, to avoid wasting money and damaging their health.

I believe it's essential for a restaurant to prioritize the quality and safety of the food they serve to their customers. The fact that we experienced gastrointestinal issues shortly after dining here raises concerns about food safety and preparation!

I hope that can take this feedback seriously and take steps to ensure the well-being of their patrons. We won't be returning to dine here until we are confident that such issues have...

The definition of a two stars Michelin restaurant is: A restaurant worth a detour, indicating excellent cuisine and skillfully and carefully crafted dishes of outstanding quality.

Rico's does not deserve even 1 star. It has been one of the worst food experiences we've had in a while, the kind you need to order a McDonald's burger after only to cleanse your palette and get full again.

There is nothing special about the cuisine (menu attached), with most dishes carrying no excitement, no additional new experience, no new story to tell with their ingredients. We initially ordered the full menu, as we do in Michelin places but after the first 2 dishes we asked to have the 3rd dish as the last one so we can leave as soon as possible.

The ambiance and decor is kitch and unkept (some pictures attached). The inside was not open to the public so we sat in the garden. The tables and chairs are cheap wicker with some accents of Bolivian-like pillows, making it look like you are in a cheap patio somewhere.

The staff is lazy and unorganized. No one walked us to the table, they served people who came after us first, we had to ask for everything twice, like getting some bread, the wine menu, like having water poured in our glasses, like getting the check.

If you value your money, good service and good food you will be making yourself a service to stay away...

When we first arrived we were somewhat confused by the entrance, as we tried to open the front door, which was locked. It was only here that we realised this restaurant had been granted two Michelin Stars. When we walked back around to the little garden, staff seemed rather stressed and unorganised which continued throughout the evening.

Decor consisted of fake flowers on the table and fake ferns as bushes. Bread arrived after our amuse bouche and the wine pour was so stingy we thought it was just the amount given to tase the wine. My partner and I decided to go for a different set of dishes, however our waitress got confused and thought we wanted everything twice. We later managed to correct this.

The food itself was delicious. Especially the Foie Gras dish is a must try here. We loved the gazpacho and the pigeon dish too. Cooking pigeon like that requires some true skill, as it is such a lean meat. We would have also loved to try a dessert but service was so slow we figured we'd rather get the bill and head home.

Over all, this place is not worth it. It doesn't have a particularly nice view and decor is cheap, service is slow and confused, and the food isn't good enough for me to believe this place really has two...

Rico’s in Küsnacht is a feast for the senses before you even take your first bite. The interior is otherworldly — deep red walls with a tufted finish, bold art pieces, and a sense of theatre in every corner. It feels intimate yet full of character, the kind of place where you want to linger. The set menu lets you choose your number of courses, and every plate is a carefully composed piece of art, balancing flavour, colour, and texture. Service is warm, precise, and unpretentious, matching the high calibre of the cuisine. From the bread service (with its perfectly chilled butter) to the last bite of dessert, the whole experience feels curated and special. True haute cuisine, executed with personality — highly recommend.

Great food, steep price! I miss Barcelona where you can get a 10-course Michelin Star menu for the price of 2 a la carte dishes here in Switzerland. In all honesty, I don’t taste the difference between a 2 star here and many one star Michelin restaurants in Barcelona. Next time I will take a flight south. all said, this is Switzerland, so you are expected to dig deeper into your wallet. The only negative part of the meal was the final pot of tea for me. Come on, given this is a 2 star Michelin, you are not telling me you don’t know the fine art of serving a pot of tea. Change your tea pots urgently!!! Then go visit your compatriots of 2 stars in Asia. Neither the pot nor the tea deserves any star.
