Smaggy Burger Lausanne — Restaurant in Lausanne

I went with my son based on the fact that I saw this as “one of the best burger places in Lausanne”, unfortunately, our experience was disappointing.

We booked a table on their website, went there, and the hostess didn’t even bother to welcome us or give us the menu. So after sitting and being ignored for 10 minutes, I went to the bar and got the menus.

A total of 15 minutes and no one came to our order. I even went to check if orders are made directly at the bar, only to be asked to return as the waitress will come to take the order.

We waited for drinks, and then again waited 30 minutes for food, only to receive the wrong order for my son. Shortly after that, we received our food, with my burger missing almost all the ingredients (only bun, patty and sauce). At this point, we were already fed up and starving, but left the tenders untouched as they had a weird taste.

Waitress offered a 10% discount because of what happened.

Update: After receiving an unprofessional and unfriendly reply from whoever is in charge of replying to reviews, I'm glad I placed this review because you can't bully people if they give you negative feedback. You can also see that in their comments to other reviewers who didn't give them a 5-star rating. What a shame to see how customer service is in...

J’attendais avec impatience de pouvoir enfin “bruncher” chez vous, mais j’ai été fortement déçue! À notre arrivée un cuisinier était enfermé à l’extérieur et toquais à la porte, puis nous sommes enfin rentrés dans la salle, bien accueillis nous avons dû patienter pour être installés, nous avions une table pour 3 réservé, mais la serveuse a dû déplacer des clientes pour nous placer à une table. Toutes les autres étaient formée en longues tablées pour groupes. Nous avons opté pour le brunch, mais finalement j’aurais du prendre un burger. J’ai été surprise de plusieurs points, les mets étaient posés dans des plats à gratins, aucun arrangement, les desserts mal coupés et les verrines de dessert étaient aussi dans les plats à gratins, ils semblaient vieux et pas fait maison. Le service des burgers à table était un plus et très bon. Finalement pour la cuisine je trouve qu’il y a peu de choix. Je reste choquée de voir un cuisinier, avec un simple tablier, vêtu d’un jogging et d’une paire de NB.

Service: les serveuses étaient très sympas et nous ont bien accueillis, mais malgré notre réservation elle nous a demandé si nous souhaitions être à l’extérieur, au mois de novembre avec 2 enfants ?!

Ambiance/lieu: les tables étaient installées en grandes tablées pour groupes, il y avait même une table de jardin blanche en plastique pliable. les couverts étaient sales, les verres sur tables étaient tous différents, même des verres en plastique sur la table de jardin, je sais que c’est « tendance » mais à mon avis c’est un manque. Le sol était sale, derrière le comptoir un vrai foutois, des traces sur le mur de saleté, des bases de réchauds, posés les uns sur les autres, très très sales, y avait de tout posé là où y avait de la place. Le frigo à moitié vide et la vitre très sale. Des que j’ai constaté le tout je me suis arrêtée j’avais carrément envie de vomir. Une fontaine d’eau avec des glaçons étaient à disposition, celle-ci avait le couvercle rouillé, j’ose pas imaginer le reste. À la fin nous avons payé 103.- pour deux brunch à 39.- et une bière 5dl et une 2.5, soit 25.- pour deux boissons… j’ai tjr pas compris pourquoi, mais j’avais un tel dégoût que je suis vite partie!

À mon avis il y a de la mauvaise pub (deux tables étaient des influenceurs de la région qui ont été invités) car étant du métier, le jour où il y a un contrôle d’hygiène je doute que vous...

The California burger place vibe made me feel like I was home again. It was busy and there's nice outdoor seating. The burgers are incredible and beers were good brands. Brunch was happening when we were there but we ordered off the menu. Service was fast, even though there wasn't an open seat in the restaurant.

I have two minor complaints but they don't detract from the delicious food. First, my husband got onion rings with his burger and there were only five small onion rings. He was disappointed. Second, there's only one vegetarian option for "burgers" and no vegetarian or vegan burger patty. The one vegetarian sandwich was amazing but it's nice to have options. I also noticed the brunch didn't have any vegetarian main dishes. I still recommend this...
