A spontaneous decision took me and my team colleagues to Mürren yesterday afternoon. Since there were no other restaurants open we have decided to try our luck at this one and only place in Mürren of which we knew it might serve some food even though it was called "the old butcher". The outlet was open and yes it had a restaurant service but there was no table available. Instead of telling us that there was no availability, the serving lady explained that we could wait or walk around a bit and she would reserve seats for 8 people for in half an hour. Now, here comes the part that many other restaurant owners can learn from. do not reject customers do not tell the customer what the customer already sees (current situation) give hope and a perspective to your future customer by promising a table for 30 or 60 minutes later. If you practise this you can be sure, you will definitely have this customer not only in 30 minutes but everytime this customer visits your village. And on top of it this customer will recommend your location highly on google maps. I do not even know what I paid for the lunch meal because I was focused on the happiness I got by such a great service. The restaurant was full at all times while we were there and the staff was smiling and friendly permanently. What else can I wish as a customer? Well done "alti metzg" you guys...

Card transactions pending is totally normal (it's gone through since - other transactions were pending too and have since gone through. Totally normal) but they said we needed to pay again! When we refused they said "this will be bad for you" and put us under a lot of pressure. What a bunch of scammers! They even had the audacity to say "oh yeah this happens a lot".
