Restaurant L'Opale — Restaurant in Lens

Yesterday, Saturday, was the time to go back to the Opale foundation art museum in Lens to see the Yves Klein exhibition. When you live far away, it's always a good idea to have lunch in their restaurant before the museum visit so I had reserved a table and opted for a couple of vegetarian dishes, which are one of the real qualities of this eatery. My meal was delicious and the staff extremely responsive and pleasant. The Merlot chosen from their very local and good Wallis wine list was a perfect companion to my meal. Very disappointing menu for vegetarians and almost impossible for anyone that's vegan. The boss insisted that vegetarians ate fish. For info people that eat fish and not any other meat are pescatarians.

The food was served in flower pots. They're trying too hard to be "fancy".

Not a single waiter or cheff knew how to wear a mask and amidst covid this was very worrying.

Siamo stati per pranzo sabato scorso al ristorante opale, ristorante della fondazione opale a Lens. La giornata è stata splendida a partire dal sole che ci ha accompagnato per tutto il pranzo sulla terrazza con la magnifica vista lago.. Un quadro perfetto, locale molto accogliente così come lo staff. Molto gentile e puntuale.. servizio impeccabile e cucina davvero ottima, piatti fatti con cura e impiantati a regola d'arte.. sapori molto decisi con molte combinazioni di colori, lo chef Lorenzo e Dalmau, suo sous chef sono davvero bravi nella continua ricerca della perfezione.
