I first discovered Rare Street Coffee about two years ago through a friend who absolutely loved it — and I’ve been hooked ever since. When my husband and I moved to Rüti, it quickly became our go-to spot. We visit often, and whenever we have friends over, we either take them there or pick up pastries to go. The food is always delicious, and the fact that they bake everything in-house makes such a difference. Their pastries and cakes are honestly some of the best around — you can taste the love in every bite. We also love using the Too Good To Go app; we’ve found some amazing surprises for great prices! The team is wonderful — warm, friendly, and welcoming. Paola, in particular, is such a light! Her energy and openness really make every visit special. If I had to be completely honest, the service can sometimes be a bit slow, especially when I bring friends along. It feels like they might be short-staffed at times. But for us, it still feels like home, and the food and atmosphere always make up for the wait. We’ll definitely keep going back — Rare Street Coffee is one of those places that just has heart.

Fantastic Kick-off to the Season at Rare Street Coffee! Yesterday's Sportec Season Opening event at Rare Street Coffee in Rapperswil-Jona was a real treat for Porsche enthusiasts! From 10 AM to 5 PM, the place was buzzing with the energy of countless gorgeous Porsches, primarily 911s, Caymans, and Boxsters, gleaming under the spring sun. It was great to see such a passionate crowd of drivers and fans gathered together. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, perfect for admiring the stunning lineup of cars, including some exclusive models showcased by Sportec themselves. Rare Street Coffee provided the ideal backdrop – a cool spot to grab a coffee and chat with fellow enthusiasts while surrounded by incredible machines. While participation was free, enjoying the food and drinks at the venue added to the great experience. Overall, it was a fantastic day celebrating the Porsche marque. A well-organized event with a great turnout and plenty of eye-candy for any car lover. Definitely a successful start to the driving season!

Rare Street Coffee tantalizes taste buds with undeniably delicious food. However, the overall experience suffers due to glaring inconsistencies and a chronic lack of attentiveness from the staff.

The most concerning issue is the staff's clear disregard for customers. On two separate visits, we were completely ignored for over 15 minutes each time, despite the presence of several employees. Whether engrossed in conversations with what appeared to be personal friends, or indulging in openly flirtatious behavior amongst themselves, their focus remained firmly fixed elsewhere. This lack of attention, punctuated by animated exchanges and celebratory gestures with some of their friends right in front of us, created a deeply unwelcome atmosphere.

Even Takeout Was Out of Reach: It's important to note that our frustration wasn't solely about finding a table. We would have happily opted for takeaway if that was the only option available. However, the complete lack of attentiveness from the staff made it impossible for us to even inquire about takeout options.

If this is not bad enough, navigating the seating policy becomes an additional hurdle – if you manage to snag someone's attention. One server might instruct you to inquire about table availability, while another might imply empty tables are up for grabs. This inconsistency creates confusion and wasted time for customers unsure of the proper etiquette.

While the culinary delights are a definite draw, the service shortcomings significantly detract from the overall experience. A quick online search reveals concerning similarities in reviews dating back five years. These reviews also point to a lack of attentiveness from the staff, suggesting this issue is persistent despite any assurances of improvement from the owner.

Until Rare Street Coffee addresses the communication gaps regarding seating and prioritizes customer attentiveness through effective staff training, there are better options to explore. Look for cafes that not only offer delicious food but also ensure you feel valued and acknowledged...
