Me and my boyfriend ended up in this restaurant because we were starving and was the only one with a table for two available. The service was not exceptional, but it was fast and okay. However, the food... I don’t understand how this place has a 4.6 star review. I ordered a 12CHF minestrone that was -no exaggeration here- water with shredded carrots and (prepare yourself for this) CANNED CORN. My boyfriend’s dish was a pasta dish that in the menu specified only cheese and vegetables as ingredients and when was brought to the table it had large slices of prosciutto in it and neither of us eats meat. Excellent food. Waitress very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to easily suggest several dairy free options (lovely to have choice). The regular Hawaiian pizza was delicious thin and crunchy with lovely sauce base. Prawn risotto was lovely but very garlicky. The lasagne came in a cast iron pan was the best my father had ever eaten. The steak and vegetables delicious. The neapolitan pasta a bIt spicy. No specific kids menu but had great Klein sized meal options. Even had a highchair that sat on the chair for our baby. Lovely decor too. Only negative was we were there at 6:15pm and told had to finish by 8pm for a reservation. The food was enjoyable, but no wow factor. The restaurant tries to maximise revenue by having 2 seatings each night, which doesn’t allow time for appetizer AND dessert. Except this is not mentioned to anyone at arrival. We were offered dessert, we ordered dessert and then were told there was not enough time for us to eat it before “the next reservation would arrive”. Our suggestion to perhaps forewarn diners accordingly fell on deaf ears. We were told that the restaurant had been run like this for 20 years and would not change anything.
