Stürmeierhuus — Restaurant in Schlieren

I just don’t give more stars to the food because our burgers had something bitter on it… I couldn’t identify it it came from the bread (that was slightly burnt), from the onions (the caramelized could also bring some small bitter taste) or from the rucola leaves that were completely soggy inside the burger… the bitter taste took over the whole burger specially that meet, that comes from a very fine cut… if I come back to this restaurant I won’t eat the burger anymore… but the rest was fine and the people that ate the tartare also liked it. I went there for dinner with my family visiting from Italy.

The location is truly beautiful.

The service was excellent, and the staff was very friendly.

The food is high quality. Coming from Italy and wanting to try authentic Swiss cuisine, this was the first time I felt truly satisfied. I ordered the cordon bleu, and it was fantastic. The dishes are traditional and very flavorful.

The price is high, but it’s worth it.

A big plus is that you can really experience Swiss cuisine here.

Ein sehr altes Haus, deshalb sehr rustikal und sehr gemütlich. Der Service war, unter Berücksichtigung, dass das Stürmeierhuus ein Sozialbetrieb der Stiftung Arbeitskette ist, gut. Das Essen war sehr fein. Wir hatten die Salatschüssel und Leberli. Sehr zu empfehlen. Die Leberli hätten für mich etwas weniger flach geschnitten werden können, waren aber perfekt und zart. Das Dessert war ja auch gut. Und ja ich weiss, ich habe das Dessert in abgeänderter Form bestellt, war vielleicht nicht die beste Idee war. Bestellt habe ich: Apfelküchlein mit Vanilleglace und Rahm für Fr. 12.00. Da ich eigentlich nur die Apfelküchlein wollte ( also ohne Glace und Rahm) war ich guter Dinge, ein paar feine Apfelküchlein zu bekommen. Es kam eine übergrosse "Schüssel" mit EINEM einzigen Apfelküchlein und etwas Apfelschnitzdekoration. EIN Apfelküchlein, ich verstand die Welt nicht mehr. "Man hätte ja den Preis um Fr. 4.00 reduziert" sagte man mir. Ein Apfelküchlein für Fr. 8.00, ich weiss nicht, lieber Betreiber des Stürmeierhuus, diese Strategie müsstet Ihr nochmals überdenken.
