Don’t you ask yourself why all other restaurant are full on a Saturday evening and you have 3 guests? I mean I don’t know where to start… You can see that they invested money to the decoration and tableware but I mean when the restaurant is empty on a Saturday evening it’s a sad ambiance… Nice and genuine waitress but she obviously is not a professional… Menu is very small like 5 dishes and really do not cater for all tastes… You are in an italien restaurant and you don’t give some bread to your guests? Then why you bother putting olive oil on the table with a bread plate? I opted for the entrecôte which was nice but I mean you have 5 dishes on your menu and you cannot even make a sauce? You serve the entrecôte with a purchased mustard in an italien restaurant? I don’t get it… the side dish was an easy oily and blend mix vegetables and a potato… The dessert… sorbeto like in Italy… maybe I should not have chosen that dessert but I mean again it’s not a dessert, it’s like an aperitif and guess what… it’s not the kitchen who makes it… it’s the waitress and it’s served like a frozen cocktail. Refreshing but definitely not a dessert with the price it’s sold. Honestly I am sorry to write a review like that which I normally I don’t do… but that restaurant is not up to par… I ended up paying 100.-chf as a single dinner… far overpriced… There many other restaurants around opt for...
Read moreAbsolutely overpriced. We were 5 people and spent 180 chf EACH for one main each, 3 starters, 3 desserts and 2 bottles of wine. To start with we asked for cocktails and it took 40’ to receive them. The barman had left so someone else decided to improvise (no one told us that the bar man was gone) and brought us terrible drinks (instead of margarita we got something closer to a lemon juice) and obviously we had to pay full price for them. The mains were good but definitely not worth the price we paid. The ‘best’ part was the waitress offering us to try an off menu starter (risotto with truffle) that ended up being 50chf (obviously she didn’t mention the price) for the size of an appetizer. When we got the bill she also had the audacity to ask for a tip and gave us some attitude when we ‘only’ tipped her 40 chf. Overall i could have stopped the review saying that the restaurant was ok but overpriced but the attitude of the waitress together with the bill we received made me really feel that this is the classic restaurant where making money comes before...
Read moreWe visited on the last evening of our trip to celebrate a friends birthday, it was without a doubt the worst dining experience we had while visiting Verbier. The service was probably the worst I’ve ever experienced in Europe, I call it service it was pretty much non existent and amateur at best.
We were served a different bottle of wine with no explanation, the bottle sat on the table for 15 minutes uncorked before we had to ask for it to be opened, numerous members of our party sat with a empty glass for the duration of the meal, food served in chipped/cracked pottery (very unhygienic) very bland minestrone soup (chef, please taste your own soup) I’ll admit the steak was good but at 46 chf plus another 16 chf for a handful of fries and veg it became poor value even for Verbier.
No apologies given for the poor service, no apologies given for the chipped/cracked pottery dishes. All in all, a dining...
