Le KOTI — Restaurant in Val de Bagnes

On arrival to our lovely Alpine chalet in quiet Le Châble on a Sunday eve we found all of the markets were closed ... but it took only a five minute stroll down the lane to find five-star Le KOTI, a casual pub-eatery and organic pizza parlour du jour (!). KOTI translates to "home" in Finnish (presumably an owner's heritage or philosophy transplanted to this va-va-voom Verbier-adjacent Franco-Swiss spot): warm, welcoming and with positive vibes, with easy access to and from Le Châble-Verbier télécabine. We started with the soup and salad verte before sharing the house specialty organic chèvre-miel (+) grande pie, which was more than sufficient for two. Our expectations were superseded. We ended up at Koti on the Swiss national day while looking for some decent food after our long weekend of hiking. It was a nice surprise and the place look very nice from the first moment. A small but interesting menu - decided to go with a pizza and salad / gaspacho for starters. The food was fresh and tasty, the staff nice and welcoming. Good coffee also!
