The food was delicious. The building itself is beautiful with a nice ambiance.

The service, however, left a lot to be desired. They tried to upsell us on much more food than we needed, aggressively; soup, salad, separate appetizers per person, beer/wine, and dessert. We were ordering a normal quantity of food (appetizer for the group, individual entrees, couple of drinks, etc) - more was not needed and went to waste. Upsold/recommended a cheap children's frozen dessert to adults in order to sell a €5 cup it came in.

At the end of the meal, the waiter requested a tip.

This is a business - they're here to make a profit, and I won't disparage them that - but rather than being treated with dignity as guests we were treated as tourists to wring out whatever they could. I would not return and would not recommend it to anyone traveling...

Adequate and reflected the extortionate poor value for money when visiting Switzerland. Tomato soup was lovely (and expensive).

My wife's freshwater trout was enjoyable for her, including it's eye (but she only found one one!!). My pork steak with fries at 27CHF: well, frankly, £0.90 from Asda in UK plus 26CHF for the joys of eating it in somebody else's parlour.

Overall, nothing to write home about and we visitors are basically "held over a barrel" if we want to eat out. Bring pot noodles and eat them...
