We booked a table for 11:45 for 4 for my husband's birthday lunch. My friend and I arrived on time and took drinks order. At 12:00 the manager came over to ask when the other two are coming as this table is reserved in the next hour and was rushing us to order. (I guess they expect us to finish our lunch in an hour and 15mins?) A minute or two later the crew arrived and we ordered quite a lot which took our dining time to over an hour. The table next to us ordered a minute before us and already had their food within minutes whilst we are still waiting for our food now and it’s been more than an hour. We have to go somewhere in Zermatt town after this and really hungry at the moment. Read moreI booked in person with the head waiter/restaurant manger at the restaurante for a 1.30 lunch for 10 people. We turned up on time and very abruptly told by him there were no spaces. When I questioned this he became very angry and started shouting at me, became aggressive and threatening . I was shocked and upset as were the rest of the party. They were clearly busy and had forgotten to reserve a table for us. Mistakes happen and I would have accepted this; all he had to do was to politely apologise but seemed unable to do so.
