1001 — Restaurant in Zurich

Very bad service and food was not even warmed up (overcooked or stale). The single guy serving was very rude and insulting. I asked if he can tell what kind of kebab roll did he give the other customer, the answer I got was it's Kebab. Then I asked him what is the type of bread and he says it's Kebab. I asked him if the meat is chicken and he say's it's Kebab. You can make out how I was treated and I asked very politely, since I did not understand the menu. Lastly, he asked me if I pay by cash or credit and when I say credit he was taunting me, instead he could have just told me he preferred cash which I would have gladly opted for. Also, the food he served us was cold meat and not warm.

I will never ever go here, instead I got excellent kebab rolls and good...

I ordered a Dönerkebap. Instead I got a Kebap PLATE (more expensive and with different ingredients spread out on a plate). When I tried to explain that I just wanted a Döner the male staff told me it was my mistake and I should have said "Dürüm" or "Dürüm wrap". Technically he might be correct but I don't care about the finer points of turkish food vocabulary. When I walk into a Kebap place and order a Dönerkebap I expect...a Dönerkebap...or am I crazy?

The staff refused to change my order and I made the mistake of already having payed so I had no choice but to take it and leave. I couldn't help but notice that both of the staff members (the aforementioned guy and a woman) were mildly amused and grinning at eachother that I was unhappy about...

HALAL FOOD AVAILABLE HERE! I tried the Adana kebab wrap. While it was decent, I found it lacked flavor; the spices were a bit too mild, and the wrap was overloaded with vegetables like cabbage and lettuce, which I think detracted from the overall experience. A more balanced approach with fewer vegetables and a spicier kebab would have made it much better.

On a positive note, I also ordered the pide with meat, which was enjoyable thanks to the generous amount of spicy sauces. Overall, though, I don't think I'll be returning, as I was hoping for a more...
