Dear All,
Please find enclosed the worst dining experience at Korma Sutra, Zurich.
We are highly educated professionals working at senior management in various corporates and regular at most of the best hotels. We went for Dinner at the restaurant on Saturday 19th May 2018 and things were good since the owner Mr. Surjit was not present.
Subsequently, we went again on Tuesday, 22nd May 2018 and the owner was present and trust me, he was annoying.
We enter and he is asking us to sit properly else his Sofa would get spoilt.
Saturday we went same person offered us normal tap water (non chargeable) today I met Surjit (owner) and his same waiter said that they only offer charageble water. So you know what I mean right. Initially I thought it was because of his son Sam becos of which there was a Confusion but today I realised it’s this guy himself.
Subsequently he mentioned that what we ordered was not proper in an extremely rude manner, well I am well within my rights to order what I want right.
Thirdly, he waiter when was communicated that the food was not warm, dishes were not proper then got into an argument with us. I think that actions of their staff were not only racially directed towards me and my group , furthermore it did not seem that anyone did care of my comments that were lodged, no resolution had come from their end as to what they would be doing for me and my group and I am very sad to mention that this issue has not been taken seriously by anyone at their end. I have refrained from putting my comments on Trip Advisor, Face book, Twitter and any other Social Media as I was hoping for a resolution from their end. Leaving aside writing to the Media along with the department of tourism letting them know how they treat customers. I am hoping for a quick and a amicable resolution from their end as at this point apology letters mean nothing to me. I am hoping for an early and complete resolutions as to put this matter at rest and close the chapter once and for all. An Early Response would be...
Read moreOur family of four (2 young kids) just got back from dinner at this place. In short, having dined at so many international Indian restaurants, I must say this ranks bottom most of all. First, we were offered seating right in th face of door entrance. When asked for other seating choices, the waiter insisted that we commonly get those seats. Never heard of this. Another person came from inside and after arguing more have is a seat in some corner. He was still better than the waiter. When it came to ordering food, we were not that hungry and though of ordering light. The waiter was really rude and said we need to order minimum of 2 main dishes and 4 naans. I have never heard about imposing minimum order like that. Our food came after about 1.5 hours. Note this was evening time and we were the third table occupied. So, the restaurant was mostly empty at the time. If your kids are hungry, might want to avoid this place as it takes a long time to get your food. We had kids so they needed to drink water from their own bottles. The waiter insisted that we are not allowed to drink from our own bottles and need to buy water from them. They only have 1 high chair in the hotel, so please be aware in case you have toddlers or young kids that need the high chair. Very expensive food, average price of any veg dish is around 27 Swiss francs. Lastly, he didn't even bother giving me receipt for the amount.
Absolutely the worst experience. If there was an option, I would have given a...
Read moreI rarely write 1-star reviews, but I was truly appalled by the level of service and quality of the food when I ate there. So I'll be back at some point to try out their lunch offer as that seems interesting and I want to give them a second chance.
The staff I dealt with, an Indian man, was incredibly rude and had no sense of service. We felt like we were bothering him just by being in the restaurant. He did not provide helpful info when asked about the dishes, spoke rudely to people... I have rarely seen such behaviour in the service industry.
As the food is different day to day, perhaps I was unlucky that day and the food is generally better, but on this day, what I tasted really wasn't good. Only the naans were half-decent. My friend is Indian herself and she didn't like her vegetarian dishes either.
The atmosphere isn't great either compared to other Indian restaurants I have been to. It would go a long way if they put a little more effort into the decor to make it feel more welcoming and interesting.
I hope the owners see this and take measures to improve their level of service and hospitality, as it seems like other people have also...
