A little out of the way place which was 100% worth the (short) drive from Zurich! If you are looking for authentic Italian, then look no further.
From their pizzas (crafted by an exceptional pizzaiolo) to their other dishes, this is a true Italian kitchen.
I had the carbonara, which is quite difficult to find authentic outside of Italy. This was bang on perfect. Guancale, pecorino romano and egg...simple in it's ingredients...perfectly executed with an al dente spaghetti that still leaves me longing for it again!
My wife had the lasagna...cooked and served in a little Le Creuset type dish, was as delicious!
We enjoyed a nice Spanish Primitivo that the owner recommended an capped off the evening with coffee, Amaro and of course, Tiramisu.
Thank you La Piazza!

All the meals were absolutely delicious commencing from the starter through to the deserts. The service was perfect from start to finish, even although the restaurant was fully booked. There was a duo playing fantastic background music. After the meal was finished, they started playing songs that warranted the guest to sing along to. It was an extremely memorable evening thanks to the wonderful food, music, festive atmosphere and last, but not least Paulo and his team of...
Read moreI previously had a review, but after continued visits to La Piazza, I realized that the slight letdown I experienced was a rare occurrence. What makes Paolo and his team great is their openness to feedback and their willingness to listen to clients and make necessary improvements. This gives them an edge and allows the team to offer creative, tasty food and drinks at great value.
I’m particularly addicted to the Ossobuco and Aperol Spritzes, but on my last visit, the cheesecake with berries was, without a doubt, the best cheesecake I’ve ever had in my life. I can confidently rate La Piazza as my favorite restaurant in Zurich, and I can't wait to...
