Loved the food, expected a different atmosphere. Very loud.
We really loved the dishes we had, Bánh cuốn was very tasty (rice paper filled with pork). We also liked the beef with mustard greens and the most surprising one was shrimps on sugar cane :) candy and shrimps, who can say no to that??
I am in a way tempted to give 3 stars because the atmosphere was not the way I had imagined. For an informal meal, this place is great. If you want atmosphere and have a nice discussion while munching on delicacies.. You'll not have that. The noise is just sooooo present. But it got better the longer we stayed as many had early dinners. Therfore I'd recommend to come late in the evening, also try to get a table close to the cashier, the ceiling is less high and I think that helps with the noise. Oh, those pics of lanterns made me dream of some relaxing evening, don't let them fool you (fist in the air)!! ;) I guess we would go again for the food. But don't let the tumble weeds hit you: there is almost nothing out...
Read moreBy far the best Vietnamese restaurant in Zurich and one of the best I have ever been internationally. The Vietnamese family managing the restaurant is proficient in delivering top quality dishes. When we lived in Zurich for almost 10 years we used to go there as a family at least 3 times per month and we have tried almost every dish. The environment of the restaurant is nice and kids friendly. The prices are fair, the portion sizes satisfying and the service is good and efficient. I have been to this restaurant with Chinese friends too who are usually very picky and rather reluctant to eat non-Chinese food: They were so pleased with the quality it has become their favorite place in Zurich. Well done to this restaurant, it...
Read moreA nice little gem tucked away off the main street in Binz. Wonderful service and nice ambiance. I had lunch a few times within a week. Always enjoyable and authentic. The lunch buffet is delicious with a large portion. A mix of beef, chicken or pork to choose from on top of vegetables and noodles. But I must say that the A La Carte menu is amazing. Bun Cha Gio is the way to go, IMO. The Nems are truly delicious and remind me of Montreal (large Vietnamese community and restaurants there). Vietnam is on par with my local go-to. It is very nice to have found a little taste of home in Zurich. PS. Don't forget to order a nice pot of green tea and a Vietnamese coffee for dessert.
Merci to the staff. I will...
