Trattoria Pizzeria Da Michele — Restaurant in Zurich

It was the first time I was in that area Zürich Binz. I had to go there for a certain business and passing by there, I saw a sign Ristorante Da Michele. A few meters before there is a Vietnamese restaurant and I thought, to go there on the way back, instead I changed my mind ... luckily. It is located on the 5th floor and inside the layout is very simple, nothing special, but the view from the terrace, on the Uetliberg must be superb. Unfortunately the day of my visit, a gloomy day, but the sun was shining inside. The place was packed and even though I had not reserved, the owner found me a place in 5 minutes. If he had been an employee, he would have probably refused me.. welcome to those restaurants, where those who put the money, take care of the customers personally. Yes, it is clear that I ate an excellent menu, otherwise I can't explain all those people. At lunch they offer 10 different menus to choose from, all with soup or salad, then in the evening à la carte menu. After having lived for more than 2 years in Zurich, I discovered this place by chance while browsing Google Maps. But this place is far too good to encounter by chance. A 5-star recommendation because it is honestly the best food I have had in Zurich (in general), and the best Italian food as well. The portions are generous, the food is presented and tastes so well, and the service is the cherry on top.

The place is hidden, but once taking the elevator 5 floors up, and opening what seems like a random door, you enter a place of serenity and feel like you have a little piece of Italy just to yourself. The terrace overlooks the Uetliberg, is decorated with beautiful flowers, and all is left to do is enjoy the view and the food - which Michele and the other hosts make all too easy.

Popped in for a quick lunch but found out to be a really nice place with cozy vibes, not to talk about the view from our table! The staff has been really friendly and very helpful as well with our order as we mistakenly ordered something we were not supposed to have as the menu was not in English or Italian.
