Binz & Kunz — Restaurant in Zurich

The location is undoubtedly fantastic and unexpected for Zurich, places like this, open and playful you would only find in italy or Middle east, so big congratulations for that. Food wise off course is very expensive like everything in Zurich but still more decently priced than the rest of Zurich (although this might be cause they don't have table service). The only reason I cannot give this place more than 3 stars is because on a saturday summer night, during a big celebration like Zurich Fäscht, at 10.30 they switched off the lights, with us and some customers still at the tables. This almost rude behavior is very typical for swiss-managed restaurants , but i was hoping not in this case. In fact i don't know more welcoming cultures than lebanese or arabic cultures in general, and if you offer a Mezze inspired restaurant, to really have the full experience of that kind of real sense of hospitality, would be great to not be literally kicked out. But this is sadly typical in Zurich and sadly I still have to find a place where the prices on the menu actually match the hospitality you expect from those prices. One more advice for the management: to really complete the experience, given that you have such a wonderful outdoor space, you could serve sisha, which would really complete...

This little hidden gem in Binz is great. The concept is like Frau Gerold’s Garten minus the boutique shops. Plus the food selection is much better than Frau Gerold’s (they mainly have wurst and sad salads). The menu here is so delicious. They even have a daily menu. If you are vegetarian or vegan, you’re in for a treat. I honestly want to come back and try everything on the menu. I had the Falafel Burger and it was so good. Some restaurants really mess up Falafel, but here it was so crispy but yet soft on the inside. Plus they didn’t serve it on those sugary hamburger buns, but it looked like a homemade tomato bun.
