Tessin Grotto — Restaurant in Zurich

This place looked lovely, so we decided to visit with friends after a long walk for dessert and coffee. Upon arrival, the waiter noticed a plastic bottle of water in my friend's hand and rudely informed her that the restaurant sold water. She politely replied, "Sure, sorry," but he continued to be insulting, asking if we were planning to order anything. When we requested the menu, he stormed off as if he were doing us a favor by bringing it.

While we waited, we all agreed that this was not a place we wanted to stay and spend our money. We stood up and told the waiter we were leaving due to his behavior. In response, he said it was "even better" because he was considering "throwing us out" anyway. I have never encountered such behavior before. I live in Zürich since ever and didn‘t know this Grotto hidden on the Chäferberg, just close to some tennis courts. The restaurant offers specialties from the canton Tessin and provides some tasty meals. We had a good evening at the Grotto. Service was very friendly and the location nicely hidden in the forest. The starter (Ziegenkäse Mousse) was just great. However, the main dishes were rather ok and the roast under the Merlot sauce or the rabbit in the Gnocchi were nearly nothing/missing. On the other hand, there was plenty of roast potatoes to the small Cordon Bleue. Solid Zurich prices are high for potatoes and a lot of Sauce. Once...
