Pretentious place to avoid at all costs, for the extreme rudeness of the waiters, the low price/quality ratio of the food and the poor hygenes of the toilets.
We went in the afternoon with 4 people. On the website they announce that afternoon service is possible, mostly for drinks and small bites according to the menu, but they still require a table reservation. Ok, we booked a table at h17.30 for the more informal wok-drink part. As we arrived, 2 of us needed a moment to decide what they wanted. The waiter said:"Ok, but I have to inform you that at h20 you have to leave, because the next clients are coming" (this was happening at h17.30...). Note that the place was half empty at that point. We all got some drinks. Two of us, got convinced to buy a very pricey special spritz (same price as a wok meal - 15ch each), which unfortunately tasted of barbecue sauce..I got an actual meal and asked for a second plate. The waiter answered: "Ok, but you have to pay for the empty plate". The other two of us, after the barbecue sauce aperitiv, just wanted a tiramisu. The waiter said:"This is not possible. You first have to order a dinner because you booked a table." We answered that the website required reservations at any time. He said:"It doesn't matter. You have to order a dinner. You two (me and my partner), you are only getting one meal in two (ndr: plus the empty plate)." In the end, he asked his principal and our friends could get just the tiramisu, but the waiter kept saying for the whole time afterwards:"You should have ordered a full meal". Final cherry on the cake: I went to the restrooms and I could not find a single one which was not full of pieces of (used) papers on the floor and/or souvenirs of different type. Maybe, for the cleaning one would also have...

Honestly, this place gives you the most stunning view over the beautiful city of Zurich I have ever beheld (and I have been living here for about 9 years). It's worth to come here only for that.
But then: the food! Holy **! Being so high above the city and the lake you will actually feel as if you were in heaven. I agree, it's not the cheapest place to eat, but it is worth every penny. I had the chicken strips with mushrooms and cream, served with tagliatelle. A simple dish, but so tasty! And they understand to put a special twist to some of their dishes. My friend had the ostrich with gravy - which was combined with raspberries! Sounds weird, tastes amazing! Also, very friendly and focused staff. Sometimes the wait is a bit long (for example until the empty dishes are removed), but I'd rather wait a bit longer than being ushered from one course to the next. Also, nice wine selection! Unfortunately it is not too easy to reach with public transport (although feasible), which limits me in terms of wine consumption. But then again, you don't need wine to feel lightheaded when the sun goes down and bathes this picturesque view into a red-golden light.
EDIT: Went back recently. It was a really busy evening, and they overcooked the meat I ordered (the lamb was far from "rose"; basically a brick.). I complained and the waiter reacted professionally and got the meat replaced immediately - no questions asked. KUDOS to both, the waiter and the restaurant policy! (I'm really not one to waste food, but the meat was not...

The service here truly stands out, notably surpassing the typical level of attentiveness experienced in other Swiss establishments. The staff were very proactive, keenly tuned into guests' reactions, and were always ready to assist - a refreshing departure from the somewhat reserved demeanor often exhibited by waiters in the region.
Guests have the delightful option to select from two distinct menus: the vibrant red menu offering enticing wok creations, and the sophisticated black menu featuring classic dishes. This system not only streamlines the dining experience but also aids the staff, as each menu is meticulously crafted by separate kitchens within the restaurant. Moreover, the waiters were very knowledgeable, taking the time to address any queries regarding the dishes with utmost professionalism.
In terms of expenditure, the pricing was reasonable. Our indulgent evening comprising four gourmet dishes and an array of refreshing drinks amounted to a total of 200 CHF, which felt justifiable for the high-quality experience. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly endorse this restaurant, especially for the mesmerizing panoramic view offered from the north viewpoint - it truly elevates the dining experience to a...
