This place sells very delicious 碗粿 which is translated as bowl cake but it's a savory pudding type of dish that's made of glutinous rice flour. They also sell healthy little side dishes of pickled veggies, sea weed, tofu, special yolk (not fully cooked runny) eggs, and then they have several kinds of soups. They even provide free black bean tea that you can have only if you're eating there and not getting take out. We only had room for 2 碗粿 because we had just eaten breakfast across the street at Qiang Qiang, but they were still so delicious and we really enjoyed it and hope to have a chance to eat it again. 來嘉義市路過這裡不下數次,因為建築的外表,讓人有點猶豫,要不要進來吃吃看?剛好這次經過我們在一旁停留一下,在看著訊息時,發現客人一個接著一個進去用餐,蛤?這裡真的是用餐環境?抱著有點遲疑的態度,工作告一段落後,我們就立即跑來這家點餐。
一入門口,拿著拿著菜單,點好之後排隊找位置,沒有多久熱騰騰的午餐上桌: 碗粿x1、米糕x2、筍乾排骨湯x1、豬血腸子湯、涼拌海帶芽共計195元。
對於小吃這樣的價格不會讓人驚訝,但上桌後看到餐點時,下巴差點掉到桌上,很久沒有喝到有如此誠意的排骨湯,自己是非常喜歡排骨湯排骨肉,但要有一點水準的價格基本上都要上看60-70,一般35元價位的排骨湯幾乎都是骨頭骨髓...就真的只是純喝湯,這次不僅找回記憶中美味,也找到正港的排骨湯,有料不怕你吃,想想筍乾的甘味加上排骨的熬煮鮮甜,第二日想要再二刷時傍晚打烊...
話說碗粿才是主角,這點無庸置疑,因為個人和老婆偏好,優先點了兩份米糕,但因為店名緣故,還是加點一份碗粿,兩人分著吃,不過在這之前,米糕與碗粿已經淋了醬汁,想說吃吃看最原始的味道,著急著先加入了蒜蓉,吃完之後才發現沒有加入甜醬,顯然原有的醬汁味道已經非常好吃,期間又配著涼拌海帶芽,吃的過程完全不會覺得膩,反而想要再多吃一點,因為顧及到下一個嘉義美食行程,要真的最後加點,也是點了無糖黑豆茶,不只是好奇,沒想到喝下去回甘的味道,也再次讓人驚艷到。
