This used to be one of my favorite vegetarian restaurants until today. I would visit occasionally and always ordered the same dish: spicy sour noodles. I recommended your restaurant to many of my friends and even brought some of them along. Today, I brought a friend who was curious to try my favorite dish. We arrived, ordered, and placed our bags on a table near the entrance. Then, an employee asked us to move to a different table inside for reasons unknown, but we complied.
Next, I went to get some side dishes, and the same employee told me not to speak near the dishes table, which I understood. However, she also asked if we wanted to pay separately, of course I needed to open my mouth, all while spoke loudly and unnecessarily, considering there were many customers around. As foreigners, we already stood out, and this made us feel embarrassed. This made me overly aware of other customers staring whenever I moved to get utensils, making me very uncomfortable.
While waiting for our food, I opened my laptop to discuss something with my friend. After about 15 to 20 minutes, our food arrived. We chatted while eating, and then the same employee came and loudly told us to "use only two chairs," "move our bags," and repeated the instruction to "use only two chairs because there were many customers and we were taking too long to eat." This felt unreasonable, as all customers were already seated, and one person was even occupying a whole table for four. Only one person was taking dishes to go. Of course, we took longer because the wait time was long and our order was substantial, including a large portion of spicy sour noodles, fried rice, and side dishes. It wasn't even close to closing time.
I was so disappointed by her attitude that I lost my appetite and packed my leftover fried rice and side dishes. I apologized to my friend for his unpleasant first experience at your restaurant.
If the employee was having a rough day, I'm sorry, but taking it out on us was uncalled for. Although our order might not have been very profitable, I will no longer recommend your restaurant to others. I still gave some positive stars because the food was good, but the...
Read moreI’ve been a life long vegetarian and everywhere I go I always search for Vegan / Vegetarian restaurants. The food here is beyond expectations. I love the taste of home made authentic Taiwanese Vegetarian Cuisine. They have a good variety of food that’s very tasty. Recommendations for the tofu soup and fried rice.
Love the convenient location close to Chiayi Train Station.
The staff is very polite, attentive and kind.
My daughter needs gluten free and dairy free due to her allergies and intolerances and the staff was able to...
Read moreThis place is amazing. This is a buffet, you can choose among many many things and then you pay depending on the weight. Everything was good, i'm going to remember the skin tofu for a long time, and it was so nice to eat so many different vegetables here in Taïwan. The lady running the place is SO lovely. She was so kind to me, we spoke everytime I came. She asks everyone why they chose to be a vegetarian/vegan and put the papiers on the wall, and I think that's such a nice idea. Don't hesitate...
