Every time I visited Taiwan, my aunt would take me here for the vegetarian buffet because she's vegetarian. No exception this time around.
For a non-vegetarian like myself, this place is a savior especially if you're obliged to a lunch appointment with vegetarians. This is in part because it simulates a lot of non-vegetarian dishes using konjac and soy, making you feel "less deprived" of meat, haha! My favorite today was the salmon sashimi. It almost tasted better than the real thing! Another favorite was the lightly fried mushroom. Their noodle bar and pan fried turnip cakes were also a highlight for me. The almond soup was quite nice. Finally, their drinks station was most impressive. I swear I sampled every drink there. My favorites were the Oomai plum juice and Calpis slush.
We had the "afternoon tea" menu which allegedly is the best value (NT$350 or $11 US), and is served between lunch and dinner. There is no equivalent in US, but it's very popular in Taiwan. Read moreThe Spring that used to be nice - is now an disappointment. This vegetarian buffet restaurant is one of the oldest (and still surviving) vegetarian restaurants in my memory. It used to be quite nice - spacious and indeed an atmosphere of lovely spring. The last time I visited this place several years ago with foreign friends, we all were very impressed by the good variety and quality of the vegetarian foods offered. I visited this place again in April 2023 with family only to find a huge disappointment. The quality of the food was no longer there - the variety reduced, foods on the plates were apparently not fresh and did not taste nice either. The air in the eating area stinked, making me concerned about the hygiene. The stir-fry dishes (freshly made upon order) were still fine; the seating area is still spacious and service was alright, but these are not sufficient to compensate for the loss of food quality overall. Read more好久沒吃春天了 這次是午餐時間來。 最喜歡臭豆腐,酥皮南瓜濃湯,炒菜-蘆筍.川七和三杯猴頭菇,蘿蔔糕 杏仁茶都不錯。披薩水準超高,不過可惜基本上只有餐期一開始才有出一批,除非很早到不然吃不到,而且後面都沒有再出了。 水果紅火龍果.香吉士 小蕃茄.木瓜.芭樂都好吃~蓮霧鳳梨ok
臭豆腐很入味。酥皮南瓜湯比預期好吃很多,酥皮ok,南瓜湯香 湯的質地也不會過濃太假。炒菜類不錯 香椿豆腐也不錯 不過調味算滿重的。
不同次到訪,炒菜類調味明顯有差異。有時候調味太過重 太鹹了 沒辦法吃多....
蘿蔔糕煎的品質不一,我吃到的表面有微酥 有香 好吃。但同桌的吃到軟軟的。 整體來說 看起來下午茶比較超值 價差150再加一成。下午茶雖沒有炒菜類 但也夠吃了
☆=================================☆ 午餐再訪最愛的還是臭豆腐🥰 麻油麵線- 變成湯麵線了 麻油味變很淡。以前是乾麵線 湯不多 但麻油味濃香。比較喜歡以前這樣 炒菜類的青菜有些特別標示是有機,有機地瓜葉好吃很嫩。猴頭菇和香椿豆腐有上過是溫的 不夠熱,但也有上桌時熱騰騰 差滿多的 酥皮南瓜濃湯, 一樣酥皮好吃 南瓜湯也好喝~但最好分食, 一人一碗應該馬上就飽了😃
沙拉類的生菜種類很多,有機蕎麥嬰很好吃 有個特殊香氣😚 披薩很好吃 尤其餅皮部分,已經是披薩專賣餐廳的水準~~ 不過整個餐期只有一開始有,午餐是11:45開始,12:00到已經沒有披薩了。到很後段又突然出了一盤🙂。量很少
杏仁茶也好喝! 比較難得的是機煮的咖啡有比一般的好喝,特地看了一下豆子 是用UCC的豆 選了拿鐵 味道偏濃 有點苦 還可接受~
水果也好吃-發現午餐和下午茶的水果種類不一樣,午餐餐期的水果才有木瓜 有機紅火龍果和百香果,這三樣都好吃~ 不同次去 水果種類當然有調整,中午有5樣 下午茶看到是3樣
比較可惜的是,小湯匙全部都是用塑膠湯匙 不是鐵湯匙。除了很不環保 質感也感覺比較差 希望店家能改善這一點
☆=================================☆ 後疫情期間 四訪 真是久違了~ 近期三訪是疫情期間 生意真的差好多 連帶菜色影響頗大..所以來的意願也大大減低😅 這次中午來 生意桌數坐地有8.9成滿呀! 真替老闆高興😁
這幾次來,發現菜色都有調整喔 除了每桌自己到點菜區點菜的菜色外 炒菜類在餐期中,也都會上新的了!吃到喜歡的炒豆苗🥰和喜歡的大片芥菜 ☺開心
比較特別的是 不定時出來的餐車 種類也越來越多 這次多了有機豆漿-- 好喝! 很手作 純正濃醇的味道啊~~ 還有清蒸臭豆腐🤩🔥💗也好喜歡 可惜一開始為了試水溫只拿了一塊🤣 湯也好喝!
每桌自己點菜的菜色 一樣覺得有調味過重的狀況..但當然就是很開胃啦...喜歡重鹹的會很愛 比如 香椿豆腐.三杯猴頭菇(香椿豆腐真的就餐廳調味.口味很重
