Well, lets be honest here. The tour was fantastic! They will give u a quite thorough introduction of this historical site. Very nice! And the food there was okay! I got the steamed fish meal set, thinly sliced fish with tofu in the bottom ( quite a trick huh?) but it tastes good! But what I really need to pioneer out is their service! I really didn't know how could the short hair waitress be so rude.. Sorry I was staying a bit over time, cuz I ordered my coffee with my meal, so it won't count as afternoon tea.. But no one was sitting outside. And I felt bad so I told her sorry for being inconsiderate but would U please let me finish my coffee since only 1/3 left.. Foreigners are sleeping on this place because it is a bit intimidating.

Don't be afraid: come in, walk around the house, take in the vibe. Take your shoes off if you want to be inside-inside. They do have tatamis and Japanese style tables, or western seats too.

Then sit down - they have an English menu or you could just translate. If you don't know what to do, take the set menu. If you wanna order a la carte, the pork was my personal highlight. The appetizer slider (of which I posted a picture) was also quite stunning: simple but incredibly elaborate at once. The flavours were absolutely unexpected for me.

This restaurant was modified from house. U can visit the house when u come here. There are lunch and dinner set . U can make your reservation via their wedsite to secure yr seat. If u r not local, u can drop them an email which is also from their official website. Once u book, they will send u an email to confirm booking. They will ask if u would like special menu ( eg lobster ) and those special menu need pre booking. The menu is very easy to read and almost all the food are tasty.
